Shyvana's lore has her remaining in human form to hide her secret but she is purple w/ lizard eyes

That part of the story just made me laugh as it just sounds too farfetched for a purple lady with dragon eyes walking around one of the biggest cities and nobody to be suspicious about this. I have this feeling that Riot kind of regrets making her purple (even though they did a great job with the new splash art) because it's just too obvious. None of her skins are purple except for her base and we've already seen with Poppy's rework that they didn't want her to be blue anymore because it just looks weird. Championship Shyvana actually does a good job of hinting at her other half without being quite so obvious.

But they're not; Jarvan IV knows, the citizens living near Castle Wrenwall knew, just about everyone who's seen Shyvana knows. Shyvana gets by because of Jarvan: he vouches for her. I feel like this is the kind of things that becomes a bigger point of contention later, as people accuse J4 for colluding with a monster, while he counters by speaking to her strength of character and conviction. If anything I'd say it speaks volumes to how much people are willing to trust in J4 that they'll be willing to accept a dragon walking in their streets.

Also Poppy has glamour and as such is disguised as a human most of the time. The situation's different.

While the Demacians are wary of magic and mages, I think it's plausible that they still accept victims of magic, this was how the nation was founded afterall. Jarvan could simply pass her purple skin off as a 'curse' that a mage placed on her.

Yeah I don't think current ingame Shyvana is representative of her lore anymore. I feel her Ironscale skin is probably closer to what Riot wishes for her to be.

Your point post doesn't make any sense. It's a magic world filled with odd creatures. What exactly would make her stand out more so than anyone else?

It's says "humanoid form", and her form is indeed humanoid. Downvoted and moving on.

I’d be really sad if they changed her default appearance to make her more human. She was my first and dearest champion, and I love the dragon-ness of her. I subscribe more to the theory that Sharjo mentioned. It’s more of an open secret that she’s not a normal human, but people let it slide because J4 vouches for her.

The way I understood,they know that Shyvana is not a normal human,they just don't know the exact details. They simply let Shyvana into their ranks because of J4s influence.

as a shyvana main i wished she would leave demacia faction and be independent (factionless) makes sense cuz she does magic damage and does not fit the "feel" of demacia in my opinion

I agree about Shyvana's strange situation (maybe her base is her natural form and her disguise is Ironscale?), but idk what you mean about Poppy. She still seems very (un-weirdly) blue after the rework.

MMmmm I think it's supposed to be her Ironscale skin that's humanoid form.

I assume whenever she uses her power she becomes at least partially revealed (Aka her base skin is her combat form.)

It's similar to MF being captain MF, Swain being Tyrant swain and so on.

Base skins aren't always what they look like most of the time.

Yordles use something called Glamour that makes them appear different to their actual appearances.

She has purplely blue skin, but due to the effects of Glamour people don't notice it.
