VO updates are desperately needed for lots of champions in the game

We all know who they are. We've known for years that they exist. Virtually every single original champion who has not received a major rework needs a VO update. A good portion of the champions added before the lore retcon in 2013, and lots of champions between 2013 and the new lore beginning also seem to need rewrites as they enter the new canon. Riot's lore department is by far my favorite department at the company and I'm glad they're building a framework world lots of games can be built on, but you can't help but feel like someone somewhere hates the lore and is blocking VO updates from coming through.

Most recently we've seen lots of candidates ripe for lore updates. Kassadin with the release of his daughter Kai'sa, who has been missing for nearly a decade in real life years? Maybe he should say something? Varus, who is now an Ascended turned Darkin turned amalgamation of himself and two other people who are voices in his head maybe? Miss Fortune, a champion who gets more lore favoritism than any other champion yet still reference summoners and is cut from the cloth of "im a sexyy pirat ;) hehe xd" rather than her new complex character? Now we have Lissandra, who admittedly isn't as bad as the previous examples but does seem to have shifted quite a bit. She's still evil, and still a Dark Ice witch who betrayed humanity and wants to take over the world, but her relationship to the Watchers is opposite what it used to be and she's far more intricate in her evil than just "I will freeze the planet and I'm evil (evil laugh)."

I get that resources are tough at Riot and there isn't a lot of budget for extra projects going on. Splash art artists are strapped, music takes a long time to write and is time consuming, and Riot always tries to get the quality bar up to 11 before releasing it into the world. It just feels odd that Riot is taking the IP so seriously now and creating these amazing stories the constantly with art to match and plot threads getting ready to go, but in-game so many champions feel so antithetical to the new lore that I feel like anyone who doesn't read lore is confused at best and thinks it's lazy at worst.
