My favorite champion was released 8 years ago on this day!

As a fun coincidence, tonight is also the longest blood moon of the century! It will shine over the Eastern hemisphere. I propose we mark the event with a celebration thread where we share all we love about this guy, why we love him, and what we expect from his future story, art and sound development.

And, of course, party! Everyone is welcome, especially if their name and/or icon is some shade of red (dark waters icon is also good). Celebrate like we're Noxian aristocrats and the spoils of war have arrived...

I've been playing league since early season 4, had no idea what I was doing at all, but I had fun. Season 6 rolls around, me and my friends slowly stop playing, everything getting boring, new patches, same shit, I was on the edge of quitting when this handsome manly piece of hemomancer man comes around, and changes my life forever. I've never loved a champion in the way I love Vlad, heck I don't think any other fictional character comes even close to the feelings I share for Vlad. Ever since season 6, when I picked him up, I've played him non-stop. I started looking up Vladimir fanart, then Vladimir fanfiction, to the point where I simply couldn't find more that could satisfy my hunger for Vladimir content. I came across the VladMains reddit and their discord, where I've met other likeminded people, and I've never felt so... connected to others.

On this, our favorite bloodboys birthday, I just want to thank Riot for this absolute hunk of a champion, and the community of Vladimir mains, who have made the fanart and fanfiction that I adore.

Vladimir All hail the Blood Lord!

I’m a proud Vlad main since S4. There is nothing about this champ that I do not like! Insta-buying everything related to him whenever it gets released.

Imo he deserves more love from all, and Riot too. I know having over 130 champs is hard to keep everything and everyone updated and satistied. But I seriously hope his voice lines will get expanded on and updated at some point. As far as vgu-related; I am quite satisfied. Except on the Vandal model. Which is probably an often-heard critisism.

His future lore is something I anxiously look forward to. I have some guesses and hopes for it, but I will wait for Riot to get to that point at their own pace.

My celebration for my favourite champ’s release shall be an art-stream celebrating and hailing that which is Vladimir, the Crimson Reaper.

Riot you guys made him a new skin which is so awesome but I think his lore is in for an update too. its great but a comic would be so sick having him interact with other champions i would like N U T on the spot. Vlad is so amazing <3 Vladimir item 3089 item 3041

Vlad was the first champion I bought with RP and was the first reason I had to buy RP back in 2010.

Bloodlord was the first legendary skin I thought was cool enough for the seemingly ridiculous price tag it had.

He’s still one of the most interesting fellows in the game, even with a paragraph of recent bio, which says something about his staying power.

Also our boy still has a whole set of pretty good skins.

It has been a while since I began playing, so long that I had almost forgot how much I liked Vlad before I started. It took me too long to be able to play those 2 champions that caught my attention, being those Vladimir and Nocturne . Unfortunately, I was incredibly bad at Vlad, and had to leave it for some time. Still, up to this day I'm still taking him time after time, having quite the problem to play him, but still enjoying every moment of it both the puns and the plays

Without further delaying, I must say Happy Birthday Vlad, for many more years playing and feeding together. May the blood of your enemies never dry and your tomato ball stay tasty and fresh forever
