It's monday again, and I'm stuck in an important software meeting. (It's a 5 man project from our University, but I like to think it's important.) Instead of my text, the lovely Falrein prepared the text for today's post.

#####A word from Falrein

Today is the turn of the angel sisters, Winged Protectors of Demacia and daughters of justice, Kayle and Morgana.

In Morgana's story Prayer to a Crumbling Shrine, we are told through an old tale that a master came with his pupil for the latter's punishment, but the Veiled Lady sees all, and understands that the master is the one to be punished. The Veiled Lady preaches the selflessness of teaching over the selfishness of vengeance. With that in mind, will Rin follow the wisdom of the Veiled Lady and forgive his brother?

Kayle's story, In the Fires of Justice, is also a legend. Unsure of his duty as a Demacian in the face of war, Abris asks for guidance. Through the tale of the Winged Protector bringing justice to a corrupted country with fire so that it can be reborn from its ashes, he understands that so long as his actions are guided by justice and virtue, his duty to Demacia will be fulfilled.

Woaw, I was mentioned in the post, what an honor :D

Though I must say, this one's unfair. I love Kayle and Morgana so much. So... Let's see. First of all I'll say I loved both stories. I'm a bit sad we didn't get to see Kayle and Morgana's actual selves in their color stories but that's a separate issue.

What I love in In The Fires of Justice is the biblical "Final Judgement" vibe it has. Kayle comes in to fight the corrupted king and his court. I especially loved that quote from the story -

‘Can you undo your deeds of injustice, King?’ asked the Protector. ‘Can you unspeak your lies and unmake your false laws against fair and righteous judgment? No? Then there will be no redemption for you.’

Now in Prayer to a Crumbling Shrine, what I love is the final twist. It's easily predictable, but it's still cool imo. I liked the moral of this tale more, even though I preferred Kayle's burning everything vibe. My favourite part of that story must be -

‘You defend him, even now,’ said the Veiled One. ‘The wretch has much to learn ere death's mercy lays claim. He alone must feel the pain he caused so he may never hurt another. You came here seeking understanding—its burden is now yours to bear.’

So... With that said, now comes the choice. I'm gonna go with Morgana because she was my first main ever? I wish I could vote for both but I can't...

Both are amazing stories (again... it hurts that they seem to be pitted against each other on purpose) I loved this format of hearing stories of these Demacian legends, after all this is the "League of Legends". These 2 stories were also my favorite parts of the rework.

I'm voting for Kayle because... Garen: "JUSTICE!" but also because it brought out the thing I like about Kayle, the cohesiveness of her character and conviction in her beliefs, and flaming wings of course!!

It really makes me wish the sisters were more Targonian design-wise.
