The choice of champions in the new skinline just forces a huge "MONEYGRAB" tag to be sticked on it

Was expecting something way better tbh. What makes it worse is that the skins, even if they do look really good, are extremely similar to one or several skins who already exist for concerned champions visual-wise.

The purpose of this skinline is just so obvious, AKA grab as much money from the most popular subgroups from the community, to the point I'm guenuilely surprised Ahri isn't even in it (I guess she gave her place to the brand new enchanter).

Oh boy a prestige lux skin! I wonder what gave them this idea?

Certainly not China. Riot only admitted that China's the entire reason prestige skins exist and why the Space Doggy made of light wasnt used in the Year of the Dog to be the 'Light of the New Year'....

I sure am glad China outpurchases the rest of the world conmbined so thry can ruin the game for literally everyone else. Fuck off, everyone in the skins department who has any influencr on who gets picked.

China please ban League in your country so that Riot can start caring about the rest of us again.

Professor Graves did it for me. It could have gone to Camille Azir Syndra Kayle and fit the theme.

Taliyah could have replaced Lux, easily.

Talon Could take Ezreal's spot as the "anime stereotype"

Jayce deserved a skin and is a total Chad

Yuumi is fine but I find it strange she's a teacher when she's established to have a master, and what I assume is her own teacher.

I mean, it's completely what I was expecting. The anime genre they're taking inspiration from isn't that diverse to begin with.

Ahri wasn't in it most likely due to that she already has an Academy skin.

Then again she has a Popstar and KDA skin so w/e.

It's the same reason why they:

  1. Are doing less VGU and more new champions because they can make more money off of them. The vast majority of the community are in favor of mini-VGU but Riot doesn't really make money off of those.
  2. Take abilities, kits, gameplay identities from older champions and re-imagine and basically update them for new champions.
  3. No matter the champion, skin line, or what these Developers tell you, there will always be champions that are part of the major skin lines as well as getting skins within a 5 to 6 month gap.

The Developers don't care.

That is what pretty much every skin lately has been. With 1 or two champs who haven't gotten skins in a while (this weeks winner is Jayce) to go "see, we are still making skins for the champs we don't care about" the rest are skins for the same several champs on repeat. wouldn't be surprising to see an "off duty Odyssey Jinx" this year and them going "no it's not a new skin, it's the same universe so it doesn't count".

Great. Another anime skinline. Because everyone who plays league is a giant weeb i guess. Oh and half the champions in this one are also in the star guardian line, really original.

You could have Ryze, Zilean or even Ornn as a teacher. But why graves? And why do ez and lux get yet another skin? They almost have more skins than the rest of the champion pool combined.

Udyr, Zilean, Xerath, Skarner, Shaco and Rek'sai are all sitting at 1400+ days without a skin (that's almost 4 years.)
