Did Riot mix up New Aatrox's jokes and haven't fix it yet?

For those who don't know, new Aatrox says these lines when he taunts and there are no champions to trigger his special interactions. Tell me, do these sound like taunts or jokes:

> "I am like a demon, but more edgy, right? You know, cause I'm a sword. Hmm." > "So uh, I'm Aatrox. I'm a transcendental being trapped inside cutlery. What's your deal?" > "Uh, nice world you have here. I intend to destroy it, you know, FYI."

This is the one thing that still irks me with new Aatrox. They fixed how he attacks towers, so yay for that, but what is going on with his base taunt? These aren't taunts, these are his jokes! Why do these play when you taunt?

His base joke is just using his old joke animation and being silent. I don't get it. There's only the update today, which may or may not fix this, and tomorrow left for any last changes before he ships live next week and it just feels wrong that this is still a thing.
