I am 100% sure that im not the only one thinking the same.
has been with league ever since the start and i just think he needs a makeover, it has been far too long since he has been touched or loved by riot.

I don't care what they do, but they better not remove his ultimate.
They will change his laugh and taunt. Unacceptable.
He does not need a real rework, just some touches in my opinion, like maybe his passive and e, other than that he is quite ok
He needs a complete overhaul. He doesn't feel like a time mage what-so-ever. Those bombs are so stupid..

VGU would be appropriate.
Imo he goes in the same category as Irelia as being a high potential VGU candidate based on his theme. However I'm not so sure if the player base is vocal enough regarding Zilean which might lead into Riot choosing other champions for VGU before him.
Time mage as a theme is quite strong when compared to a yeti, a bear, a spartan or a purple hulk. Not saying there aren't champions with strong themes already who also need a VGU (Mordekaiser).
Zilean definitely needs a visual update, his model reminds of OLD Janna...
