Lore theory: God King Garen/Darius happens many centuries after the PROJECT timeline

Very basic, but if you look at Darius' axe it seems mechanical - especially the folding blade. According to loading screen tips, both the god kings' weapons are from "an ancient war". This war might be what ended the PROJECT era - and if that is considered "ancient", the god king era may be very far into the future in comparison.
