Shifting the Focus

With the reaching of 137 champions in the game, we have come to the point where in a PVP game where (ideally) all 10 players specialize and play at a competitive level around 5 to 10 champions. This means that in a best-scenario situation with 10 players choosing from 10 different options and 10 bans, we will have a possibility of 110 champions availability and we know this a ridiculously high number. The actual number could be that between bans, picks, and options we have around 50 to 60 champions which is around 1/3 of the total roster. All this is dictated a large numbers of factors but it is specially decided by meta since every player would play what is the strongest. I do not wish to discuss the reason or if this should be changed in any way. Rather, I want to address Riot directly by proposing some changes to their design team on their main focus. While a new brand champion is something incredible that can bring a extraordinary feeling together with new or returning faces to the game, I think we have reached the point where there are enough champions to build upon. The same mindset works for a lot of retail stores where they would introduce new items every once in a while, but their main focus will be to work with their current products and replace or remodel struggling ones. While the comparison might not be 1 to 1 I think the idea I am trying to convey is that we have interesting and potentially interesting champions already to work only focus on balance. One great to do this in a timely manner would be the so called mini reworks like the XinZhao in specific since I do believe his changes breathed new life into what was a stale and linear champion. My recommendation and the main objective of this post is to advice Riot to switch their priorities to do Full and Mini reworks more often and slow down in releasing new brand champions. Assuming that we keep the every 2 weeks patch we can plan a schedule where there can be a week where they release a rework and another where they take a break; so every month we would get a rework. New champions would take a step back meaning we would have in 12 months we can have 5 to 6 completely new champions and 6 to 7 reworks. A way to relieve some of that pressure could be to do more Mini reworks where they would focus on bringing the champion into a today's aesthetically standard with little change to their gameplay. Now, I would like to list the champs that in my opinion need some help and distinguish between full VGU or a small rework: Full VGU--These are champions that while having a small niche, their kit currently has no consistency leaving them to be either overpowered or non playable weak. Still they have the potential of becoming champions that satisfying to play with or against: Amumu ; Annie ; Fiddlesticks ; Kayle ; Malphite ; Mordekaiser ; Morgana ; Nocturne ; Olaf ;Quinn ; TwistedFate ; Udyr ; Volibear . "Mini" reworks--Here we have champions where their kit is fluent and has some time to go until it needs a full rework. However, they would still appreciate some love by changing something in their abilities and their overall look: Anivia ; Ashe ; Brand ; DrMundo ; Ezreal ; Hecarim ; Jax ; Kennen ; Pantheon ; Teemo ; Xerath. As you can see most people would agree most if not all could use a form of change to bring them up to the level of the new/updated champions. If I missed anyone or if you do not think a champ from this lists should be in here let me know your opinion. Thank you.
