We Need More Demons!

League Of Legends has way too many demon skins and not enough demons themselves,

Sure we have the few demons that are confirmed in the lore like TahmKench ,Evelynn , Nocturne , and what we know from Swain 's lore of him conquering the bird demon.

https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/Omen

Omen was a great concept in my opinion, which is something that should definitely be revisited if the design team ever decides to go back to, though judging from what we learned that his position, he was replaced by Riven. This would probably mean that he would have landed in the Top-Lane or maybe even Jungle.

Instead of another Jungler or Support, we should definitely see something designed around the mid or top lane or ADC/APC, which would give us more of a variety of where we can play the champ, you typically wouldn't see Evelynn or Nocturne anywhere else but the Jungle, and TahmKench is mostly a support that is rarely found in the top lane, so it would make sense to have an in-lane damage dealing option.

If you look at the new champions that are coming out recently, Pyke is a fantastic support, as well as a decent Jungler, Neeko is a powerful mid-laner or a Jungler. And our most recent addition, Sylas has found his way into the top lane, mid lane, and like the others the Jungle.

As you can see with the recent additions, it's clear that Riot's goal is to add variety to their champions and give them options rather than being glued to a single lane.

In the end, the whole concept of demons in Runeterra and in the lore is still very unknown, to add more demons to the roster or even just the lore itself would answer our questions of what Demons really are and their backstory, and to have a wider array of options to choose from if you're not a fan of jungle or support, but are still interested in the concept of the champions themselves, or if you're just the Edgy type.

Now the real question is, what should come next?

Hope they can rework Fiddlesticks & Shaco into ACTUAL demons

Could be cool to see another female demon tho

I'd love to see them make a demon of Sloth.

Not a demon that is slothful, but a dark creature that inspires others to be slothful, to ignore their responsibilities. Their kit would have a lot of slows and sleeps, with punisher mechanics that encouraged enemies to focus the wrong targets or avoid confrontation entirely.

A cool ability would be an AoE sleep that worked on minions on both sides, stunning both waves to either freeze it while they roam, or go for a trade even when they're down on minions to surprise enemies who thought they had an advantage.

Honestly, I think we got enough supernatural beings in the last time.

I would prefer to get some more "normal" champions again. Just people which are well trained and/or equipped and able to stand their ground with skill instead of relying on magic or being born as a higher existence.

The next champion was already confirmed to be an enchanter type support, probably something to do with cats as well.

Kind of unfortunate that Riot didn't make Aatrox and co demons. Would have fit with his old lines and character way better than the new Burning Legion corrupted Ascended dudes lore.

No we don't. Between the void and the darkin, riot has plenty of demon tropes. Evelynn and TK were mistakes in terms of lore. They both probably should have been from the void.

WHO IS OMEN

GreenLore3/12/2019, 10:54:04 AM1 votes

The problem with Omen the way he was is that he didn't really fill any specific theme.

I mean look at the past champions and you'll notice that each of them fills a different theme that no other champ really used(or at least didn't focus on). Sylas is an escaped prisoner and a copy mage, no other champ fits these themes Neeko is a doppelganger and a chameleon Pyke is basically davy jones and a fisher he also fills the whole "back-alley-serial-killer"-theme quite well unlike Mundo who feels a bit too straightforward for that. Kaisa is the only champ in the game with a symbiote-suit and her suit has also elements of a power-armor.

So Omen would need to fill a certain fantasy/theme that no one else does and I don't think that "being 4-legged" and "having a big grin" are really enough on their own.

Some themes where I could see Omen would be:

  • As a pack hunter(give Omen his own pack that hunts alongside him)
  • As part of a beast trainer champ( I don't think that Nunu really fits that theme, though I guess that if we'd get a beast trainer it'll be a noxian who trains drakehounds instead).
  • A cheshire Cat(focusing on his face, you could trade his alien looking body for more cat-like features and make him a mischievous cat spirit)

And honestly thats about all I can think of at the moment :/

nah ...i think reworking the current demons should be first or at least giving them a visual update because they look horribly outdated atm, i am talking about Fiddlesticks ,Nocturne and Shaco

I wouldn't mind if Omen made it into the game, though he does indeed seem like a Jungle focused champion. Could probably be played Top lane.

People also seem to really like the idea of making Fiddlesticks a demon, so that's a Mid laner/Jungler/Support(/APC?) for you.
