So apparently Ezreal is going to be one of the few champs who only receive a minor update to his kit while getting a full on visual and audio update, what are your guys' thoughts? did you want a full overhaul rework for him or are you supporting the mini rework + audio/visual update?
It seems appropriate for him, it also opens the door for other champions in similar situations. I’d love for Miss Fortune to receive some voicework, or for Varus to get a visual update
I really hope that they'll be able to keep up with these smaller reworks in addition to the big ones,because there are so many champions who'd need a VU,but aren't in need of a big GU(though a small one would be great for most of them),however I wouldn't want them to delay the big reworks(for champs like Mordekaiser or Dr.Mundo) for the small ones and hope that riot doesn't make the mistake and try to squeeze a champ like this into a small VGU.
I'm loving it and I hope he lands well with players so we get more just like him for champs that need the visual update but not so much gameplay. 
From a lore perspective this Ezreal rework should be interesting. If im not mistaken this will be the first time a champion is updated whose story was already completely canonized. So what kind of story/s would accommodate Ezreal, because Narrative have no need to give him a new Biography or Colour Story, which is what VGUs typically get.
I think a novella is the next step, the type that take 20mins to read. But in that you have to also realize it will be the first time post-retcon that the story arc of a character will actively progress in some manner. Ezreal: the first champion to get a Chapter 2 in the life of.
Seems 2018 is the year for the World Building team, knocking out milestones one by one.
For gameplay, all I hope is that they keep AP Ezreal alive. I know it's not popular, but it's my favorite thing to play. Riot said they supported off-meta builds, and I pray they'll not go back on that statement when updating Ezreal. I also think his passive, Q, and ultimate need updates.
For visuals, they need to seriously amp up their game. More than half of Ezreal's skins are basically chromas, only 3 of them have visual effects for the abilities, and some of his splashes are the most ancient in the game that still stand. I own all Ezreal skins outside of the most recent one which I will be waiting for in my My Shop so i'm very excited to see new splashes and models for skins like Striker, Nottingham, Explorer, etc... They also need to really do some work on the models, voice work, and animations. Other champs like Swain and Akali get me very excited for the visual aspect of his rework. New lines, new lore, new look, new Ezreal. The thing I want most for lore is probably actually some confirmation on Ezreal and Lux being in a relationship, since Lux's line "Uhh, are we supposed to be dating or something? I've never even talked to you" is just a joke about how they have no interactions in game or in lore.
As long as he gets more than one taunt so he can be less annoying I don't really care what they do, but only 1 taunt was EXTREMELY annoying to have to lane with Just "you belong in a museum" all damn game

I'm happy they're adjusting his w because he needs it, but I hope they don't do anything to kill AP Ez. As far as visual/audio update, as long as they don't do anything bad or make him look tacky then I'll be happy. I love Ezreal. He's my favorite anime dancing pretty boy. I don't want to see Riot do anything that screws him over.
It is just a logical move to try out an actual minor VGU! He is one of the most popular Champions in the game, if not THE most popular overall. So we see him very often overall, especially in officially streamed proplay matches, but while this happens his base and several skins have the same level of outdated quality like Udyr & Zilean (for the same reason I am happy about the Morgana update). Also it was already confirmed on Reddit, that he keeps his AP playstyle and that his classic skin will mostly look the same and their current standpoint is, that his classic splash will be updated like Shen's or Tristana's.
Udyr for example needs much bigger work and I would be happy, if they made him a martial arts combo fighter (each back-to-back stance combination enabling a special effect) reminding of the combo iteration they tried on Aatrox, but scrapped... while keeping Udyr's high speed key characteristic should for sure stay alive for the better.
I would like, if Kennen, Jax, Blitzcrank & Wukong got a similar treatment, while Blitzcrank gets the Akali treatment of a progressed story, being mechanically upgraded by Heimerdinger with the help of Ekko (see The Climb cinematic). Giving him a little more up his sleeve, than being just an enemy hookbot, would really do him well in terms of fun gameplay. Riot wrote not so long ago about Wukong, that gameplay-wise he is almost there, so he would also fit perfectly, also if his looks would have more focus on mixed Vastyan features with primary monkey and not just the latter.

Overall I think it was a great decision of the team to try a minor VGU out on such a popular Champion, which will allow a big part of matches to look much more visually cohesive.
After Pantheon & Mordekaiser got adressed, I just really would like them to put focus on these three very overall bland guys...
Removing Tryndamere's toxic kit from the game would also not be bad, as well as definitly needed attention for characters of the original 40 roster!
