Ryze theory
Ryze is one of the most powerfull mages in the lore, and he achieved great feats. However, why is he so powerfull? Maybe it's just cause natural power/talent, knowledge and practice, but even with them, there may still be something we're missing. His scroll. Now let me explain. Some speculate that the scroll is a map of the World Runes, but it doesn't make sense for a few reasons. First, why wouldn't Ryze just memorise the map, then burn it? Second, how could someone make a map of the World Runes locations, since there is no way someone would know where every single World Rune is, and people might move them? Third, Brand got to a World Rune in "The Burning Lands" comic without a map. Now the question is, what does the scroll do then? I believe the scroll contains some ancient magical power/knowledge that buffs Ryze when needed. Why? Because: 1. Ryze NEVER leaves his scroll and 2. Brand wanted the scroll: "I will get that scroll from your dying hands" Why would Brand want a scroll when he already locates World Runes by himself? We have to remember Brand is looking for World Runes for power. He wants power above anything else. Therefore I think Ryze's scroll contains ancient magical power/knowledge. What do you think?
