I don't know if this is the right place, but riot support told me so

I'm just starting my major in college (Game Art/Animation), what would you say is an important skill to develop when just starting. My skill being a game animator, I've done a handful of classes so far and I would like to know the experiences of other rioters who went through this career path. What steps did they take and what would be some good tips during this time? Also I heard that Riot Games is a good place too start my career as a game animator. What is your daily life and activities at Riot Games and what should I expect? As in what you exactly do, or work on while at riot.

Thanks in advance if a rioter does answer this, I would very much appreciate it. :)

Circlejerking is your friend. OBEY THE WILL OF THE MASSES(if they want a anime samurai, give them a samurai. If they want a necromancer, give them one. If you can't think of anything, press "I'm feeling lucky" on google images and animate the coolest thing you can find within the first page. )

so just to clarify, youre going into the animation and not the modeling? theyre two very different things, and i myself had been looking at animation for a few years before i realized it was modeling i was interested in.

You should post your questions on the Riot Careers LinkedIn group page! There are a good number of Rioters from different departments who pop in to answer questions related to careers at Riot/gaming industry!
