What's the difference between Project/Mecha/Battlecast skin lines?
Just out of curiosity. All of them are robotic and have altered voices with the same lines (except for the legendaries). What's the lore behind them?

Mecha are pretty much Pacific Rims Jäger. Giant robots to presumably fight giant threats. The sheer size can be best seen in Mecha Zero Sions and Mecha Aatrox Splash Arts. PROJECT: is a skin line where people were, probably against their will, heavily augmented and (as seen in the PROJECT: First Strike trailer) imbued with the memories and skills of ancient heroes. Why? Perhaps to make an army of obedient soldiers. Or maybe those people just needed a new fancy way to cut their bread, idk. Battlecasts are reverse engineered Void Beasts and other monstrosities (see Skarner), Viktor uses to enforce the Glorious Evolution upon the world, in an alternate universe.
Whether these all share the same universe I don't know. Perhaps the Battlecast Invasion is the giant threat the Mechas were made for, but that might aswell be the deep sea skin line, considering they're basically Pacific Rim. Maybe the PROJECT:s were built to fight Battlecast, seeing how at least PROJECT: Yasuo bears striking resemblences to the game Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, where cyborgs fight against (cyborgs and) giant robots. I haven't seen any confirmation of either of these theories, so... yeah. They're just there.
Project is usually based off human characters with weapons Mecha are suppose to be like transformers that are built by rumble and Battlecast are suppose to be apart of Viktors glorious evolution.
