Did Atreus kill Aatrox?

So in the new story of Pantheon at the end of the story this happens: "and with a mighty leap, he struck a blow that severed the Darkin’s sword arm.

Both blade and Darkin fell to the ground. Only Atreus still stood, and watched his namesake star blaze back to life in the heavens." Does this imply that Aatrox died or that his host died, also what do you think him watching his namesake star blaze back to life again mean? Did he ressurect the Aspect of War?

This is speculation but: I think this story took place after Aatrox was captured and he was in a hosts body. I think the stars reawoke because the celestiales saw Atreus worthy of the powers of pantheon. So he isn’t Pantheon but he is Atreus but he has godlike powers.

Darkin can not die, they are bound to their weapons and those weapons are indestructible. That's the reason behind Aatrox's world-ending ways. He wants to end his life, but can't find a way how. So his last desperate hope is that maybe, if he becomes a threat to the entire world, somebody will figure out how to destroy him.

So Aatrox is very much alive, but got trapped in his sword after it got disconnected from his host body. It is unclear whether he remains trapped to this day or if an unfortunate soul picked him up again, only to become a new host.

As someone who speak in spanish, i tried to look at the lore in my language to see what does it say there...

Tanto la espada como el darkin cayeron al suelo. Solo Atreus permaneció de pie, contemplando cómo la estrella que le daba su nombre resplandecía de nueva cuenta en los cielos.

Acording to that, "watching his namesake star blaze back to life again" means that, when Pantheon died, his star stopped shining, but when Atreus cut the arm of Aatrox, the star began to shine once more. He became the new "Phanteon"

It doesnt mean that Aatrox died, but he lost the host that he had during that time.
