Does yordle magic and technology work because they know how to build machines and perform magic, or does it work because they believe they will work?

Like if Tristana puts a rock inside of a log and believes it is a canon... does it become a canon? Or Rumble, does his robot work because he is a skilled technician, or because he believes the robot will work?

Also, Elderwood Tristana, she shoots a canon made out of a tree, done.

Unless Riot suddenly come out and retcons how Yordles even exist, no, their technology is just that. Technology. Heimerdinger builds things, Ziggs is good with explosives and chemicals and Tristana owns a BFG that shoots cannonballs. While out dated, Teemo's poison isn't from Bandle City, it's from the Kumungu and Heimerdinger made Yi's goggles.
