Stores have been selling chirstmas stuff for weeks now. South Park had their christmas episode the other week. So how come the snow day skins aren't for sale yet?
Riot's skin team really needs to get its act together and get with the times. Next year the snow day stuff should be out on PBE in late september so it can be released in the first patch of october like it should.
No? Unlike retail, you don't need such a hefty lead on winter holiday merch in the digital format, since you're not physically required to have merchandise stock or be present to purchase the items. They release them with the Snowdown event in December.
The only reason retail has merch out so damn early is because people invest heavily in home decoration and can't wait until the day of to decorate.

Dear god, no. I hate that all the holly-jolly stuff is put out in stores at the same time as or even (often) before the spooky-scary stuff. If there's one thing that Riot does not need to take notes from, it's the relentless overmarketing of christmas.
Christmas happens in december, who cares why stores drop all their stuff months beforehand. Riot always releases them in December and thats how they will be.
I mean, sure we'd all LOVE to have them now but it's not gonna happen. Riot plans the skins out and has a set idea of about when they will be released and ready for the world. They also usually have Events and other stuff linked to them so they aren't just gonna push it all out right now when they have their big Worlds event and other smaller events planned out for this time of year.

Um.....yea-no. That's not happening. Just because some random stores trying to get an early jump on the Christmas sales & South Park aired it's Christmas episode doesn't mean Riot have to as well. Releasing their Christmas skins in October would be weird.

Remember the Harrowing and Snow Day have nothing to do with actual holidays... or so we were told that year we got the Slayer Jinx/Pantheon and Zombie Nunu skins a week after Halloween.
Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but I assumed this was a sarcastic post that everyone's taking seriously, because most of us really don't agree with how early the Christmas marketing starts. It always feels like companies are insulting their customers' intelligence.
Incidentally, Christmas music at the malls in the Philippines starts in September. It's a 90%+ Christian (majority Catholic) country where Halloween is more about memorializing the dead than celebrating the spoopiness. Christmas takes the lion's share of "excitement" for the last 1/3 of the year. As someone who grew up stateside, my first time being in a Filipino mall at the end of September was disorienting.
They probably aren't going to release any of the winter skins until December, stores are selling their christmas stuff early because they are physical items not digital items. Besides that most people do their christmas shopping in October and November so that's another reason you are seeing Christmas items in stores right now. Riot is probably gonna release the new snow day skins onto the PBE first so they can get feedback and that's probably gonna happen around late November or Early December and either a week before Christmas or on Christmas they will release all the winter skins [sg-ahri-2]
