i honestly never heard anything of this event ever again. APPARENTLY cats won. so i wonder... is yuumi the "reward" for cats winning

Champion development takes almost a year and Yuumi was released just one month after the event, so no she definitely wouldn't have been a dog if the dogs had won.
It was more that the dogs got the prestige skin and the cats got the champion, to even it out a bit.
Actually, rito wanted to make a cute champion after making a lot of aggressive ones. What else cute could you think about if not a cat? She is the cutest champion in league now.
