Can you even write any champion serious and not as a total joke?

Even if it is not you responsible about Aatrox's quotes, I just want you to know, you and other writers butcher theme of characters.

Aatrox is a complete joke in my eyes right now. I hated Rhaast and his quotes, and now this. Another darkin with rubbish personality and forced funny quotes. How is it a lot different than as you promised? How can I trust your replies now? It is not even the first. You SAID Xerath's perspective will change 3-4 years ago. You know what happened? Xerath burnt a city and its civils alive, and enjoyed while watching it like he is fucking Evelynn. He makes Thresh proud.

What's wrong with Narrative?

Aurelion Sol, Forger of the Stars, also the sassiest dragon made in fantasy.

Rhaast, the Darkin Sycthe, the Death Machine. I am more serious than him. And I am not a serious person.

Evelynn, Demon of Pain, Succubus of Unspeakable Torment. Has some quotes made me laugh loudly.

Aatrox, I am not even going to talk about it. It speaks for itself.

Champions are CONTRADICTING with their theme. STOP with making champions joke. There are plenty of them.

You murdered Aatrox and his beautiful voice acting with a 5 years old kid's personality. FINE. Just please, but PLEASEEE, never ever do the same for Mordekaiser and Nocturne. This champions should have dark and evil quotes, not this.

I can't even describe my disappointment. I did not F5 this much to see it.

I have to disagree with Sol. He is arrogant yes but not in a sassy or joke way. He is really majestic.

I gotta disagree on Rhaast. Unlike the other Darkin, he isn't driven by revenge or anything like that. He only wants destruction for the sake of destruction. There's no real reason for him to be serious.

I don't see anything wrong with his new lines and we've only seen his special interactions so far, not his basic lines.

He used to be so calm, poetic and elegant. He came off as really intelligent and highly capable of manipulating people into going to war. Now he's just an angry screaming guy with zero charisma. It really does come off like a five-year-old wrote his big-demon-man fantasy character, then threw our intelligent one in the trash.

The problem is that old Aatrox was vastly different. Whether or not people like this new character, that doesn't change the fact that we are most certainly losing a character we once had and loved. Maybe you might not like the old one, but I don't like Ezreal and that should have no bearing on whether or not he gets completely removed from the game. I love old Aatrox, and this will kill him. He will be gone forever, in every way, with nothing left to remind us that he once existed. That is the problem. This new character can be great, but he is not Aatrox.

Most of these are interactions, unless there’s a full audio already? I can see where they’re taking him. The Darkin were trapped (betrayed) by the targonians. They’re pissed. I think there’s still nobility to the guy, but he’s angry.

If they do change Nocturne like Aatrox or Galio, then I think I might flip my table.

Nocturne should be calmly intimidating and sadistic, the writing in the Lux/Garen/Nocturne Story captures his personality quite well.

Jhin's Quotes' are the only ones I really enjoy hearing. To be honest he is the only Champion to have the BEST design in LoL's history.

I mean, if I were a very powerful god-like creature out for vengeance, attempting to destroy the world while believing I am truly capable of doing so and capable of defeating everyone with ease, I would surely crack jokes. Aatrox himself states that he's suffering. He's not just power. He's a person with a personality. And he likes to drop a joke form time to time.

The nice thing about his jokes are that they are actually jokes. He is trying to joke. He's not just saying something stupid that the audience will take as a joke. (What Rhaast does. I like Rhaast, though.)

To me it doesn't feel forced at all. It's not unusual for someone to crack a joke during competitive moments. Even when we truly dislike the person we're competing against. I do it all the time, so do my friends and I bet the majority of the playerbase does as well. It doesn't have to be a joke in all chat, think of something funny you say to your friends about the enemy.

Aatrox has a lot of personality. More than most champions who are very straight forward in one way. At first it was a bit weird but I quickly got accustomed to it. I think it's just very different from what we're used to which doesn't have to be bad. Just give him some time and accept that the old Aatrox is dead. (I will however miss his old quotes.)

hm. i dont know if you tried to insult aurelion and eve, but imo they are top notch. xerath i dont play and i dont care.

aboout the rhaast and aatrox: i like the idea to make them this pure rage abominations. constantly raging and blood thirsty. BUT imo both do not really have the best quotes/interacions. both poorly and most time boring. and imo Aatrox voice should be slower and deeper/darker and a bit rougher. They tried to make his voice rougher by giving him an accent. but this made him more cringe than everything else.

visual wise he is really, really cool. but voice and personality... too boring.

God I'm so worried about Fiddlesticks, Mordekaiser and Nocturne. Not only do all these need to be calm, but also eerie and have a terrifying chill to them. Mordekaiser for instance needs to be sinister and serious and not a brutish and cocky russian jerk like new Aatrox. Varus also has me worried. In his story he is the only darkin left actually wanting revenge for what happened and not being some dumb walking joke that screams around like a brute. Sure Aatrox wants revenge too, but his new VO tells me the complete opposite, that he actually is having a great time drunk on vodka while kicking hardly funny jokes and screaming at his enemies.
