I was looking through Demacia's page, clicked on the champions tab, and there they were. To confirm this, I sorted champions by region, and low and behold, they were moved from the "Runeterra" region to Demacia. Is this something that happened a while ago? Hints at their new lore rework? Just a bug?
As far as I can recall, since the Map has been released. A rioter hinted at Demacia and Mt. Targon sharing some cultural relationship. WAAARGHbobo's comment.

I got my first S+ on Kayle, so I'm really curious as to what they will be doing with these champions. Honeslty I can't WAIT to play VGU Kayle 2.0!!!
Though if this has something to do with potential new lore, I am a little worried. Demacian Kayle? Oof.. From "Lead me to battle" to "For Demacia" .... RIOT PLS NO STAHP
Well, since Varus was a Darkin buried beneath Ionia, and Rhaast was buried beneath Noxus, and Aatrox was in the Freljords, it would make sense that the Ascended sisters managed to find the Darkin beneath Demacia.

Considering there places on the map, i can see Demacian & Targonian trade/immigration/etc being very easy depending on how sturdy there ships are and how calm the Conquerors sea is.
