ahri is also the anagram of "hair" (but yes,it intentionally sounds like "ari")
Master Yi - Chinese for "One". He is "The Chosen One" he needs one right click
Jhin - The letters from his name form a 4 on most of the standard keyboards.
and they are also 4 letters
that's just...perfect
Gnar - The sound that he makes. Basically, he's a Pokémon.
[sg-miss-fortune]
you killed me XD
Sona - From Proto-Italic "Swen", to sound, and a , -a.
also this word (edit for clarity : i mean "sona" not "Swen") is still used in a italian dialect,it means literally "suona" (playing an instrument)
sure it sounds like a feminine suffix, but it don't indicates always a feminine figure
btw nice job,i see you have alot of free time as well [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
Aurelion Sol can actually be dissected into a few words.
Sona always rang as sonar to me. Cause she's about more than an instrument, but rather sound overall.
Caveat with Ivern - the name of the castle in the Scottish play is "Inverness". not "Iverness." I feel like a more likely influence for his name would be Ivy+Vernal+the name Ivan (especially since he used to be known as Ivern the Cruel... Ivan the Terrible anyone?). (I'm assuming you're speculating on this, if this was actually confirmed by a rioter i'll gladly shut up lmao)
Gnar is rang backward like boome**rang **
Wrong on Master Yi.
His chinese name doesn't use the character for the number One. It uses the character used for the ancient chinese classic I-Ching, or YiJing as it's now pronounced in modern mandarin.
Although yes, the if spelling it in latin letters, the pinyin is the same so it's possible to misunderstand. Spelling is the same but pronounced with different tones.
The chinese character used for his name has a variety of meanings. One of them is "easy", probably referring to how easy it is for master YI after all that training (and how easy it is to get a penta). The other meaning means "change". Perhaps in reference to how Yi always improves? Not sure
Also wrong on Shen. The chinese character used for Shen is not god, but a character used to describe reservedness, or rather being on your toes, careful, which is accurate for ninjas as they need to be on their toes. Again, same spelling, but different tones and characters
While name Katarina comes from greek name Aikaterine, the origin of this name is unknown. Goddess Hecate is only one of theories and labeled as unconvincing by Oxford Dictionary of First Names.
Also the choice of this name might be based on Katherina from Shakespear's The Taming of the Shrew where Katherina was wild and untamed woman.
I was curious about MIss FOrtune's name but was disappointed when you left out her name, Sarah. So then besides the "Miss FOrtune" part, what would the meaning be with Sarah?
