Is Kayn a reference to Cain and Abel?

Lore wise it kind of seems similar to Cain where he was given a choice between the light and dark.

Cain/Kain/Kayn/Kein is a name you often see put onto anti-hero/villainous/treacherous characters because it's the original betrayal story. Like the Legacy Of Kain games, or Kain Highwind from FF4. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a similar cause here.

Plus, Kayn's short bio mentions him wanting to rule the Order of Shadow, something that I'm guessing has to eventually involve him pulling the scythe through ol' Zed.

There is a tv show, Supernatural. The story of Cain (and abel) is very similar to Kayn. Cain has a blade which name is The first blade when he pick it he become unstoppable like Kayn’s weapon and he cant control himself like the story of Kayn
