#2018 Lore Tournament: Day 19

We start off the quarter finals with a competition between two Noxian stories. The first story, The Principles of Strength, deals with the politics of Noxus and the discipline and sacrifices needed for a strong nation. The second story, Art is Life, is a much more personal affair, in which a young painter named Maura becomes entranced by the story of Vladimir's life.

The Principles of Strength _ by Anthony Reinolds_ Alyssa Roshka Gloriana val-Lokan and her brother Oram Arkhan val-Lokan discuss the agreements between Noxus and the Delverhold with the Noxian Trifarix. The visit to Noxus teaches Alyssa to realize the principles of a nation's strength, and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.

Art is Life by Graham McNeill Maura, a young Noxian painter, traverses the nighttime streets to visit Vladimir and paint his picture. When she finally comes to meet the Crimson Reaper himself, he captivates her with tales of his garden, his philosophy, and his unusually long life.

[EDIT] With 32 to 26 votes, The Principles of Strength wins again.

I'm honestly not sure who to vote for.

On one side, we have Vladimir and his Mordekaiser fountain. On the other, we have Swain and definitely not LeBlanc. Hm, what to do?

The real dive into how Noxian politics go is to much for me. As well written as Art is Life is, I just live world building stories like principles.

Well well, it looks like Art Is Life finally found some competition! Today I'm giving it up for The Principles of Strength, just because the politics of Noxus are very interesting to read about. Vladimir, while appropriately mysterious, doesn't draw me in as much. Game of Thrones Noxus wins over vampire Noxus today.

As creepy and seductive as Vladimir can be, I much prefer the principles of strength. I much prefer the non-champion character in Principles of Strength, and I also really like the Game of Thrones vibes I get from it. Still, tough competition.

I really love "art is life". From this novel I can feel the respect for the art of the real world. By the way there is another artist in league of legends. May I also expect that in his novel?
