So, does Yasuo's lore mean anything now? SPOILER ALERT

I remember the core of Yasuo's lore was that he was falsely accused of killing the elder and has become a fugitive. Now let's consider the new short happens after he meets Taliyah (for the sake of her lore too)

Spoilers start here:

Not only is Yasuo still in the same village he's trying to hide from, flashing every time he sees an enemy, but apparently only a few people know what he looks like.

(Moments before Riven's trial) Random villager#1: If I ever see that traitor Yasuo, I'll make him even more broken than he already is Random villager#2: There's a guy sitting over there with big af hair, a scar on the bridge of his nose and he's suspiciously covering his face Random villager#1: Is he wearing a white hoodie and missing a ring finger? Random villager#2: uhh no... Yasuo's a fighter not an assassin Random villager#1: WHAT?! (biggest plot twist in league history)

Jokes aside, Riven's weapon is reconstructed and the missing piece was found in the elder's neck by an adept, the adept tried to tell the judges but was prevented by his master. The weapon's runic energy exploded with a strong wind that was able to knock everyone down. Right after this, Riven confesses that she killed the elder (finally eh?).

How does all this affect Yasuo's lore? It's simple: he stops being the fugitive. (unless something happens in the 3rd part) Now that everyone knows who really killed the elder, Yasuo has no more reason to hide. He might as well go hang out with MasterYi and be best buds with him and MonkeyKing

Random person: But but, didn't Yasuo kill some innocent people including his brother? Answer: Unless you're living with noxians or barbarians (aka noxians), self defense is not a crime.

CONSPIRACY THEORY:

(Dramatic music plays)

Now the thing that bothers me the most about all of that: Remember the part about the adept that found a piece of Riven's weapon in elder Souma's neck while "bone washing" him (it's nature unknown to him at the time as he thought it was an unknown metal), he tried to report that to the judges but was stopped by his master? Keep that part in mind.

Before Yasuo was appointed as the elder's bodyguard, he was trained at the village's renowned sword school with other pupils. After being offered apprenticeship by the elder, Yasuo accepted both positions as his pupil and his personal bodyguard. Yasuo was trained to fight with the sword and was never seen fighting with another sword than his own. He can manipulate and fight with wind techniques without the need of his weapon hence, his "dashing" and speed. This means that Yasuo needed no magical weapons to use to wind techniques.

Back to the weapon piece part, even though the adept and the master knew there was something wrong about that piece, his master still stopped him from showing it. Even after they were handed the blade itself, they kept that information to themselves; that the elder had died from something or someone else.

Why did the adept's master hide the missing piece? Why didn't he put it with the sword when it was presented to the judges? Why did he glare at the adept after he told the truth?

There is only one answer that comes to mind: That same priest had a hand in the plot.

What plot you ask me? The plot to kill elder Souma! By sending everyone away during the invasion, he knew Yasuo couldn't just stay there without taking part in the war. Yasuo rushed to the battle and the elder was left alone with no protection. The elder was to be killed and Yasuo was to blame. Coincidently enough, the murderer happened to be none other than Riven, the only other wind user. By hiding the only remaining evidence (the weapon piece) no ends were left loose, except for Riven herself...

If you are accused of doing something and the police enters to your home to put you under arrest, but then you kill the cops to escape, then is not self defense... even if what you did in first place was not true.

Yasuo IS a criminal, regardless if he killed the Elder or not.
