The Next Ultimate Skin: Part 3.5. A Statement, A Suggestion, and an Apology.

Hello Everybody!

So, if you happen to recognize me, I am the one who has made "The Next Ultimate Skin" threads, of which, to this day, they are still getting traffic.

And today.......we finally have the announcement of our next Ultimate skin, and the lucky recipient goes to.............Miss Fortune......an ADC....

Now, if any of you read my Part 3 of this series, which you can read here, I predicted that the next Ultimate skin would go to a Top Laner. The reasoning for this was due to how the other Ultimate skins have turned out in the past. We've had an ADC (Ezreal), a Jungler (Udyr), a Support (Sona), and a Mid Laner (Lux). To me, it only seemed like a given that a top laner would get an Ultimate skin.........but, I guess I was wrong on that.

People are already asking for my thoughts on this skin, and to be honest............I am disappointed. I am normally someone who supports Riot through and through, but I will join the outcry here..........Gun Goddes Miss Fortune does not deserve to be an Ultimate skin. And to some extent, even Riot agrees:

Gun Goddess Miss Fortune will not be sold at the normal 3250 price tag. Instead, it will be sold at 2775, almost smack dab in the middle of the 1820 Legendary Price tag, and the 3250 Ultimate Price tag.

Due to this, I would like to send out a suggestion to the skins team at Riot:

#Remove the Ultimate tag from Gun Goddess Miss Fortune, and give it a New title!

SUPERcakes said it herself.........GGMF doesn't bring anything new to the table......and the 3250 price tag will be reserved for those skins that do. Thus, GGMF should end up as the first in a new line skins.....the inbetween of Legendary and Ultimate. Now, Riot does have 2 other titles for skins; Epic and Mythic. Epic is slowly becoming the norm for the 1350 price tag, and I believe it should stay that way. But Mythic is meant for the 975 price tag.......and no one uses this. If you think about it, why is the term Mythic lower than Epic....wouldn't it be on nearly the same level as Legendary?

So, I suggest that Gun Goddess Miss Fortune becomes the first official Mythic skin......with the 2775 price tag. It would look like this:

Legendary: 1820 New VO, Anmis, Particles, etc.

Mythic: 2775 New VO, Anims, Particles, Ability to change models

Ultimate: 3250 New VO, Anims, Particles, and new features never before seen in a skin

Now, before you ask "Well, wouldn't other Ultimate skins be considered Mythic?" No.....no they won't, because they specifically bring something new to the table. PF Ez brought about the transforming models, Spirit Guard Udyr brought about exceptional 3D modeling, DJ Sona brought about new music to the rift, and Elementalist Lux brought about personalization of a skin in game. Gun Goddess Miss Fortune doesn't bring anything new to the table. If anything, she is a better version of Pulsefire Ezreal. In fact, if she was to be released back when PF Ez was, she would be MORE than deserving of the Ultimate title......but as of now....she isn't.

And finally, I would like to issue an apology to all of you, and to Riot. I bought into the hype of the Next Ultimate, and built up expectations.........and due to that, I believe I am partly to blame for the backlash this skin is getting. I know Riot put an enormous amount of effort into this skin........only for it to backfire, and essentially blow up in their faces. Don't worry, I still plan on writing a Part 4 to The Next Ultimate skin series.........but it will be very different, and may take me some time to really think out. Be on the lookout for that.....both users and Rioters.........I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, GGMF is sort of like Super Vegeta & Super Trunks from DBZ. It's certainly a step higher than the previous tier (Super Saiyan or Legendary in LOL's case), but it's not strong enough to fully reach the next tier (SS2 or Ultimate).

As a cheap person who doesn't buy skins, im going to say that i don't agree with adding a new tier of skins. Why?

Because of the "Mecha Kha'zix Effect"

What is that you say?

Well, let me explain, when Mecha KhaZix was introduced, they said that it was not going to be the norm, that they were going to continue making skins like they always did... and the 1350 price tag was going to be an exception because making skins for KhaZix required extra work.

But now? Now almost all the champions are released with a 1350 skin and almost all the recently released skins have that price. The last 975 (permanent, not legacy) skin released was Moo Cow Alistar.

I can bet, that If Riot introduces a "Mythic" tier, then the Legendary ones would almost dissapear.

I only logged in to comment on your apology to all of us, but dude really nobody actually thinks you need to apologise to us besides you yourself. i can probably speak for all of us when i say that we enjoy the threads you made about the next ultimate skin, why? because it made the waiting for it more bareable and somewhat fun, speculating which champ it could be and why that champ and when it would come out and so on.

even if you had not made these threads, all of us would probably stil have thought that it would have been a top laner which would also be fair since all the other lanes/positions already have theirs.... but no... RIOT DOESNT GIVE F..CK!

they only care about their favorites champs and apparently they also have favorite positions lmao, if they truly cared about what we think they would not have pulled this bullshit on us and giving another adc the ultimate skin..... its the same shit for champs some are forgotten for years and dont get anything while others already have 10 skins and keep getting more and more..... missfortune..... hmmm 11th skin now?

it just pisses me off that we have to wait for atleast another 16-18 months probably until the next ultimate skin and maybe it wont be a toplaner once again.....

im just tired of being pissed off and all thats left is just allot of disappointment... i was even the first to comment on riots video ( State of Skins | /dev diary) about the ultimate skin and asked them why another adc? but surprise surprise.... got nothing back at all.... i guess thats just the way they do things not caring about their community as much as they say they do, only when they really need to say something because of loss of players will they act and not out of kindness and appreciation to their players... otherwise they would have been fair and given toplane the ultimate skin of this year.

Mythic is NOT meant for the 975. Mythics are the name of the Hextech Exclusive skins, that are mainly glorified Epic skins; Their price is considered to be 2450.
