Honestly Morde would Murder the mortal shell Aatrox inhabits and then do what he pleased with the blade. Probably put it in a Reliquiry
what's our definition of winning? if it's who dies for good then neither since both are literally immortal. If we're talking in terms of destroying the body then I'd say magically animated metal is more durable than flesh, plus Morde canonically has more magic than Aatrox
Aatrox is a pretty big dude, but he's made out of meat so he'd be at least somewhat buoyant. Plus he could reshape his body to swim faster.
Morde, on the other hand, is so darn heavy and metal he'd have to walk along the bottom of the pool, so he'd take way longer to get across. I'm giving this one to Aatrox.

Base form Aatrox with only a few bodies? Mordekaiser stomps. Aatrox with a shit ton of bodies, who was stated to have a possibility to challange fucking Xerath? (aka a city-worth of bodies. he gets stronger the more bodies he has) Then Aatrox wins.
Mordekaiser, without doubt. Remember, Aatrox is the sword not the human. Mordekaiser has enough power to breat the human body with 1 swing of nightfall. Then he would just consume Aatrox's power and maybe corrupt him? But yeah, Aatrox loses without a doubt.
