Zilean Skin Speculation Thread

In the skins dev diary brought to us by I Am Carlos, we were told 4 champions that needed skins would be getting them, those champions being Ivern, Shaco, Nunu, and Zilean. Ivern, Shaco, and Nunu have already received their's, so the question now is: What will Zilean's be?

  • Now remember, we weren't told all the skin themes that would be coming this year(Papercraft, Dunkmaster, Dark Star, ect), so its probable that Zilean's skin could be something similar in the "we never saw that coming" department.

  • Arcade/Battle Boss is obviously out, which is surprising IMO. I could see Battle Boss Zilean being a thing.

  • Star Guardian is out for... Obvious reasons.

  • Christmas skin is out, he already has one.

  • PROJECT is out, as its for non-magic human(oid)s only. Program may be a possibility, though, but I don't think we're getting any this year(PROJECT in 2017, Program in 2018, PROJECT in 2019, so it looks like they may be alternating between the 2).

  • A Harrowing skin is possible, and since we got traditional Halloween skins last year, I think this year may have Death Sworn or something similar return, if the are alternating the themes.

I may have missed some, so if I did feel free to mention them and I'll add them to the list.

Like hate me all you want but I and my Zilean OTP friend always wanted Dunkmaster Zilean.

My #theory is that it'll be Prestige Zilean: like regular Zilean, only sparklier and significantly more expensive

What if Zilean is the First Star of the Star Guardians, which could mean a new round of Star Guardian skins? (Or perhaps adversaries to the Star Guardians)

Pool party I SUPPOSE is a possibility, but given the time between his last skin and now I wonder how well that would go over. Not that blood moon Zilean isn't a good skin, of course. It's simply been a while.

A Death Sworn type skin for Zilean could be cool for Harrowing, or something more goofy and Halloween-y (say, if him and Ryze got a wizard counterpart to the Bewitching skins).

I'm also surprised that Zilean doesn't have a Rift Quest skin yet. He would fit the corny, lighthearted RPG-style fantasy of that skinline so well. When I first started League and saw the four-person Rift Quest splash, I thought that the white-bearded wizard was a Zilean skin before I saw the book and Ryze's skins and corrected myself. Regardless, a Rift Quest Zilean skin. Please and thank you.

He could also get Pool Party...maybe...which would be...pretty weird...maybe if Camille joins him as "old school beach charmers" or something.

It’s going to be Dunkmaster Zilean, Program Zilean, or Mecha Zilean.

Those are the “ran out of ideas” skin lines used on less popular champs.

I dunno. We never thought Poppy would get another Christmas skin, when Ragdoll was originally released as one. Plus Katarina has two Halloween skins (kitty kat and death sworn)

So they could throw a curveball with another one n there. I for one personally hope not.

I feel if they were to use a popular theme, I'd say Pool Party (if we get it this year) is the only viable option left really and if not a popular theme it will definitely be something either new or a revisiting of an older theme.
