There are a couple of champions that they released that just felt real.
To start,
. He was a kid who wanted to save his friend. Even though he has this super natural time ability, the fact it was set to "Seconds" instead of hours or days gave him a very neat concept. "Every second counts." He makes mistakes and learns from them. How is that not relateable? His animation is amazing and is, to this day, my favorite one they've done for a champion.
To follow through,
. She was a very down-to-earth character (pun intended) that wanted to find more for herself. She had this gift and used it. I also absolutely loved her design. She was so different from the other female characters.
The third champ I loved that felt real was
. This one is a little bit more of a stretch, but she was just this strong woman that could really kick some tail, but she used it all to teach. She was this teacher who was wanting people to learn through experience. (Albeit, she takes it a little far. "Broken bones teach better lessons.")
I'm going to wrap this up with
and
. They were just this cute couple who would fight for each other. Whether you're in a couple yourself, or you have a close friend you hold dear, they were just a pleasant example of caring for someone else. On top of that, they had great personalities. Their conversations in game are fun to listen to, and the way they thank each other for shields and the like is fun as well.
These champions didn't feel as far out as some of the other champions, like Jhin, Kled, Bard, or Aurelion Sol. They had either crazy powers, or they were just insane in their own way. (Don't get me wrong, I love them as well, but not for the same reasons.) The champions that you could relate to, or felt more "down to earth", were the ones I loved seeing. They had great stories or motives for why they did what they did, and you could tell they fought for what they have.
