Candidates for: Arcade

It's been roughly two weeks, I'm apparently still here in this community/game (though with how my history has been that is more than likely to change quickly), and it's time to discuss the Arcade series. Let's get into it.

So everyone has to know what this series is about: it's to make reference to older video games or even certain game types, such as fighting games or dance games. It's a pretty straightforward theme that I can think everyone can get some ideas on to it.

Right, let's run down the heroes side first: the champs that typically you'd see as your select-able characters for a game.

There are enough champs here to make at least one full team comp if we so wish to go that route of analyzing things, so with that in mind, let's see who else we can just add in:

seems fairly reasonable as his Q W and ult could have some pixel effects to them

with her rework, I can't really see why not adding her in. Adds another top laner, her blades could be similar to dance pad arrows, (which would also fit the dance game theme), it'd be a good choice for her

MARIO REFERENCE WAITING TO HAPPEN! Literally, hop is just like Mario. And even better, his Mega form could be Donkey Kong if we really want to go old school, or make him eat a mushroom

Not exactly my best choice but I could see it working in particle effects. Plus could fill in the niche of say those farming games (maybe?)

OK...I know...she just got released not too long ago...But she can work. Q has pixel orbs, same with W and ult could add a zoom effect with actual letters when she does it. Idk, just my idea

Be more of a reference to Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat and fighting games in general

AS MUCH AS I HATE THIS CHAMP, she could work. Ball is made up of lots of squares, she herself could be made of shapes for effect, etc. Could possibly be considered as a villain but I'll get to that in a bit

OK and now to the villains. Real talk real quick: There needs to be more variety in the villains. Right now the current roster for them is mainly mages, with Blitz thrown in, but outside of that they're all AP. It just feels off to me that heroes gets more of a balance comp when villains feels one sided. In a way as well, the bosses typically have a very telegraphed move set as you'd see in other video games, so keep that in mind

Ideas for villains side:

Depending on how Aatrox's rework will look like, he could be considered for this. A few particle effects to be made pixel-izd, kind of plays like a mini boss fight (from what the rework is discribing him as... at least if I recall), he could work. But we'll have to wait and see.

Good move set that acts as a boss, lots of particles that could work in pixel form, and while I said there's a lot of AP, he would at least be a tank added to the list.

Could work because of his Q but outside of that highly doubt

Again could work, but more for particle effects and adding an ADC to the villain side

Would probably be a better choice for ADC based on abilities and particles (and yes he's popular and there was that uproar about him getting 2 [3 technically] skins in one year but still, he would work)

Lots of possibilities could happen here in terms of appearance and particles of abilities

Not exactly the most telegraphed and really needs an update first, but I'd figure to throw him in because you never know

Could have some possibilities with his Q, stun, E and ult. May share appearance with Blitz a bit from what I imagine

Very good choice. Q is perfect, W has possibilities, Ult would be amazing (pixelated fireball) and E could also find a way

OK I know what I said about mages and AP but, again, he could fit. E is very pixelated, Q would be like classic SNES style, W be a nice pixel eyeball, he can work dammit

may work if done properly. W hunt theme could be more 8 bit possibly.

ABSOLUTE MUST! Kind of based on that old fake leak a while back but he could work. Ghouls could be packman ghosts, ult attacks have pixels and the theme would truly be 8-bit, what's not to love about this idea.

Meh, might as well throw him in but I don't really care for him that much (I don't like playing against him either so that too).

Anyways those are my ideas for candidates, but what are yours? Are they similar, did you have some ideas?
