Quinn And Valor Lore

So, I was playing Quinn and mentioned how Valor was (from what I took from her lore) an embodiment of her brother. Kind of like how in native culture some may turn into animals after death. So I always believed (and still do, but could be wrong) that Valor was supposed to be a reincarnation of Caleb, as opposed to just a close pet. But my friend disagrees and is determined that Valor is just a close pet and nothing more.

Am I just insane or was that implied?

Any proof would be nice, because the lore as I see it heavily implies what I believe, but my friend says I'm wrong and won't budge.

In the old lore it was implied a bit more heavily that Valor was Caleb (it mentions that he had "the same spirit she saw in her brother") but still ambiguous.

In the current lore, I think the most you could say is that Caleb/the gods/some benevolent spirit brought Quinn and Valor together when they needed each other the most.

Either one works better than the old rumor that Caleb survived, lost his memory, and is now Talon

The only person that we know that has been reincarnated in the lore, its Karma, and its a big deal in the lore... Considering that, i highly doubt that normal people can reincarnate in Runeterra, mainly because of the existance of Kindred and the spirit realm.
