Pyke and Illaoi part 2

In a previous post, I asked if Pyke might be connected to Illaoi, since their weapons look similar, plus they both share the supernatural and religous like theme of Bilgewater and the isles around, to which Riot FauxSchizzle answered with :"I wouldn't say that they are related. But they are aware of each other's existence." This intrigued me, but then came the voice lines for Pyke, and his line to Illaoi is very intriguing: "Your sermons damned me Illaoi"- which led me to a new theory: He was a beliver in nagakabouros, got betryed by his crew, got eaten by a GIANT FREAKING SHARK, but not before doing some ritual based upon Illaoi's teachings and sermons and got reanimated as what he is today- therefore, he believes that Illaoi and her sermons damned him to this life, because if she didn't lecture those sermons Pyke would have stayed dead but at some level of peace. What do you think?
