Why is everyone was interested in Kassa's Daughter and no one is for Kata's father Talon's mentor?

When I try to talk about General DuCouteau no one seems really interested in it, except from some Talon and Katarina mains I know. But when Kai'sa was teased everyone was going bonkers about ''Wow Kassadin's daughter is alive?!''. But again when I try to talk about General DuCouteau, which is lost too, people say he is a side character or just don't talk at all. I'm still hoping he will be a champion one day!

And no, Swain saying to Katarina ''Do they know who killed your father, or do they still blame me?'' Doesn't count because voice lines usually gets outdated when something gets updated. Just two examples, I'm sure you can find more in your head!

Rakan : You were given Vastayan blood, yet choose to be blind! Swain : Vastaya blood is not in my veins, it is on my hands.

Poppy You know gargoyles and yordles have a lot in common. Galio Gargoyle? No, I'm more of a magic-nullifying colossus.

Here I hope our chained champion is General DuCouteau... Main reason being Urgot was sent to Zaun, and he got stronger to answer Swain. which Swain replies as:

Swain : Your message is your power. You've learned nothing.

I'm pretty sure Urgot is known as dead too and would be interesting to see what Swain wanted him to learn truly with General DuCouteau, which will be sent or get taken by Demacia.

Yeah, Swain's lines, and his relationship with the Du Coteau's is not changing ANYTIME soon. General Du Coteau is dead. His death is pivotal to the Noxus storyline, and it ushered Swain into power, and set off Swain's regime against the insidious Black Rose that had been manipulating Du Coteau.

The difference between General Du Coteau and Kai'Sa is that Kassadin's daughter was young when she was trapped in (or according to Riot, near) the Void, even in the long ago lore of Malzahar and Kassadin, and she was a very undeveloped character in the lore - the point where she was a pretty blank slate with a wide range of possibility for her future in the game. Du Coteau has ALWAYS been a pivotal plot point in the Noxus lore, and his death has always been necessary for progressing the storylines of a lot of the Noxians. The lore related to him has developed him and cemented a place and end for him, which is why people don't clamor for his introduction in the game - it's not needed, because his purpose has been served in the stories.

That said, not every character needs to be in the game. Take the Ruined King for example - tons of people request him. But the lore is not served by him being in the game, because his purpose is to be this great, mythic entity in the lore that developed one of the regions, spawned legend and myth and relics, and then faded into the passage of time. He would lose a great deal of his narrative impact by being playable and explained into the game, because he's then just some guy, and no longer this great myth like Zeus or Odin.

Since many things are pointed to the Void and the Void being such a big thing the interest will follow. And her father being a side side character that we know nothing about... There is a difference. I personally love when we have a rich cast of side characters not just champions.

Yeah I have to agree. He's dead. Sorry. However, I do hope that we get a story or something featuring him, Noxus is always such a great setting.

If it is General DuCouteau, I hope he’s not psychotic like his kids.

The "It's Alive" tease suggests that the new champion won't be human
