Grungy Nunu

A long time ago I bought the skin "Grungy Nunu", because of its resemblance with "Oscar" and the "Cookie Monster" from the "Sesame Street". Due to the Rework of Nunu in the recent patch, the skin changed aswell and lost named resemblance, which is really sad.

I like the new skin, but Riot changed its character, which I dislike. Let me explain: Image your partner was a beautiful looking human. Then both of you go to bed and the next day there lies a different person besides you. The other person is even more gorgeous looking than your partner and even be really nice, BUT it's not the same person, the person you fell in love with. It's a different character. That's how I feel about the skin right now.

I would be really interested in the reasoning behind that change and enjoy if any Riot Designer sees this and answers my question.

Wouldnt it be because of legal reasons? It's an ancient skin from when Riot was below the media's radar, which is why obvious skins like this and king koopa rammus could be made.

Now just making obvious sesame street could potentially get them in legal troubles.

Just my theory, i think this also happened with another rework.

I'm more interested in why they didn't rename it like they've done with other skins (i.e. Crimsion Akali becoming Infernal Akali). Since they changed the characters/theme that were used in it. It really no longer feels "grungy", being that it means, grimy or dirty. It appears to be now sharing the theme of Toy Box skins (Moo Cow Alistar, Pug'maw, Renektoy, DinoGnar, Sewn Chaos Orianna, Ragedoll Poppy, Toy Soldier GP)

Riot changed the skin because it didn't fit with Toy Box skin set. Because skins cannot be their own thing now. The same bullshit happened with Frost Blade Irelia, when it was removed and made more to resemble Winter Wonder line.

Seriously upset with this also. I only got the Grungy skin for Nunu because of my intense love of cookie monster. Grungy Willump looks....like.. Urgot Now that it's a completely different skin, I'm not a fan of it at all. =/

It really annoys me that they didn't rename it. Like what about this skin is grungy?
