I'm glad Riot defined void creatures in such a way that Kog'Maw isn't a continuity error

>Some legends suggest that, when they first emerge into the Runeterran air, the Voidborn are generally pale, fibrous and flexible.

Exactly how Kog'Maw's body is.

>With no organic or magical sustenance nearby, the Void’s material growth will slow, until it eventually falls into a dormant state.

Kog'Maw's hunger is still consistent with Void lore.

>As they age, sections of their form harden into a darker, shell-like chitin, which can become strong enough to turn aside almost any weapon.

We see this in Cho'Gath and Vel'Koz.

I know it's no surprise that Kog'Maw represents a young (maybe larval?) form of a void creature, but I'm just glad there is consistency without having to overhaul creatures who have been long known to be voidborn.

We knew this since Diana's color story came out. It describes the same process when some void gribblies manifest in front of her and get their murder on.

You're right though, and it's a pretty neat idea on Riot's part, too.

Kog maw isnt actually a voidling though. Hes voidling spawn, like Rek'Sai's brood. Which of course means hes basically a mini version of his daddy.

meanwhile, Kha'zix is hunting down rengar, becoming an apex predator on a level only monster hunter has been able to provide.

wasn't kogmaw someone who mutated, just like Kassadin and others?
