Sorry to disagree with you but I think the new one is the best splash update of them all.
I couldn't care less about Crimson Akali before. Now I absolutely want this skin.

Is this really why this got changed back? That new splash art was incredible, it was powerful, sexy, and actually made someone want to use the skin. The old splash is just re-colored Akali which is what the skin is really but now it has nothing significant to make you want to use it. As soon as I saw that splash update I wanted to show it off and use the skin because it looked incredible but now..... that's lame as heck man.
Yes. I hate the new artwork to high heaven. It legitimately made it to where when I considered playing the skin (which I usually do when I play Akali), I couldn't bring myself to do it. Creepy on a whole different level, and just... ugh.

I'm torn; they're both good. My main problem with the new one is so much of it is taken up by the background. The current one is good art and the focus is entirely on Akali, the way Splash Arts should be.

I have stinger akali and fucking hate the rework. To add insult to injury they are removing the blood from the skin, which makes it look even worse:

You do know you can just go into the games files and manually change the splash art for yourself if you care that much.
This looks like the highest-quality splash of the two, if you ask me.
