Last week “oh Kai’sai Makes the void look boring! Rito is ruining the lore of the game!” This week “the new void lore is awesome! It’s terrifying and we have more info on Icathia! Great job Rito!” I think the moral of this story is wait for the full story.
Overall I think the problem is that Kai'sas short bio said "claimed by the void". Add to that,the fact that she is most likely Kassadins daughter,who was thrown into the void in the old lore(or at least that was implied) and a lot of people thought she lived inside the void,not in a cavern that is connected to it.
The short bio was simply misleading.
I waited for the whole story.
The stories were nice.
However, several bits of lore that I felt were pretty vital to the Void's identity got retconed, which leaves me largely disappointed. Kassadin getting his lore totally gutted wasn't very nice, either. Kai'Sa's story was totally underwhelming.
Where Icathia Once Stood was pretty great, though. And I approve of the new Kog short lore.
Not everyone.
The icathia lore was good, fantastic even... Kai'sa's lore on the other end might have been the most disspapointing thing I've read since the whole Lore rework. It felt a lot like bad writing, i wasn't too keen on her at first and even after her Bio, my stance has not changed, she should've remained in the hoven a while longer. Honestly her concept had a lot of potential but ultimately fell short for me.
