About Ixtal

Good job at introducing a new previously unknown territory that we knew existed (Zyra's bio etc.). My qualm is having Rengar and others be a part of this. I thought Rengar was over in Vastaya territory. 2 thoughts on this: stop "fixing" things lore included, that aint broken. And stop changing too much. It makes the lore confusing and sometimes not a good as it was before. Idc about Qiyana but the rest of the Ixtal lore seems fun. Having Zyra and Nidalee here does make a lot of sense. Perhaps Rengar does too but constantly redoing and changing his and others champions' lore is confusing and unnecessary.

Rengar's tribe was always situated in jungles on the Shuriman continent. I don't think anything was changed about his lore.

Vastaya don't have a "territory".

Rengar has been part of Ixtal lore for years. His tribe hails from the southern Jungles, the same ones where Nidalee got transformed into the Cougar aspect. Vastaya, if you recall from Xayah's lore, live around ley lines and areas of high natural magic. Which is core to Ixtal's vibranium mountain magic.

If I recall, he did travel far north to find new stronger prey after conquering much of Ixtal/Kumungu and the encounter with Kha'Zix (Icathia, and the void portals are also near Ixtal, so this is logically where K6 first entered Runeterra) and thats when he met Gnar.

It makes perfect sense to change things as the lore develops. In that regard it doesn't matter that much if old lore is better or not.

However, it would make more sense for Riot to step it down a bit and make a plan to form a vision as to what they want to do with the lore on a long term and how they want old and new champs fit together in that regard.

What we have now gives the impression that their ideas constantly change mid development, leaving us to deal with the aftermath. Not to say that it seems like a the lore often changes to fit new characters instead of characters made to fit the lore. Which again is a symptom of the lack of a long term vision.

Though I'm not entirely sure if that is the developers fault or the fault of the suits enforcing their dumb ideas on them.
