Riot should release novels like Blizzard does for WoW

First off: Thanks a ton to the lore team for giving us more story updates than ever and feeding us hungry lore nerds out there; I love devouring all of it in the various ways its presented and I'm always wanting more insights on the champions and Runeterra itself!

One suggestion I have for Riot given the increasing amount of short story releases is to maybe expand on that in the form of full on books similar to the vast amount of novels set in the WoW universe that do what the short stories in League do(character/world building), but on a more in-depth scale. I definitely appreciate all the short stories of course, but given how well they seem to be received by the community alongside the constant calls for even more(and the wonderful amount of talented and willing authors out there), I think it's too good of an opportunity to miss. Riot needs to find their own Christie Golden or Richard Knaak and I'm sure with how big LoL's fanbase and funding is, there's a few out there who would gladly step up! How amazing would it be to have stuff on the scale of _Arthas: Rise of the Lich King, The War of the Ancients trilogy,_ or even _The Sunwell trilogy_ - if they want to go the route of comics - in the League universe? Star Wars' extended universe books are another example of this and they are pretty successful.

The content wouldn't even need to be further advancement of the LoL timeline if Riot's worried about that; it can simply be a more in depth look at past events the way _War of the Ancients_ fleshes out a historical event and further details the backstories of several major characters. Maybe release a novel that goes in depth on the years Shen, Zed, and Kusho spent hunting Jhin and flesh out the characters pasts and what it was like for them as rivals and their training with the old Kinkou order. Or one of the many plotlines within the Ionia vs Noxus conflict or Shurima's vast history of war; there's so many avenues to explore and they don't even need to be as grand or far-reaching as the examples above, just include multiple champions/an event like the harrowing(like how you guys did Bilgewater's bit) and go from there.

I know I would spend **so** much money on stuff like this, as I've already done with the above mentioned, and I would absolutely **love** to know if something like this is in the works or at least being discussed!

Don't think they have enough money. Not as long as esports exists.

Imagine how many books they would release... Even Blizzard doesn't even know how many books they released since their story is hugeeee.

I think the primary reason why they wouldn't do this is because it would eliminate the possibility for adaptation. Not to shade the lore team, but given that the lore of champions was directly changed, and not "adapted" it would indicate there would be many inconsistencies with creating a fluid story. UNLESS the story itself was on a smaller scale. Say, you talk about a champion's life in a certain region, unconnected to the rest. For instance, Annie's life after her tragedy.

I'd love to see it, but I can understand why they wouldn't do such a thing. I for one would love to see something about the starforger. Like... "The birth of the Starforger" or "The Prophet's Gift" or some similar titles. That would be pretty amazing.
