Theory: The Blood Harbor Ripper and The River King

Many assume that Pyke is some kind of Undead that haunts Bilgewater, which is true, but there is no way he is an Undead from the Shadow Isles, as in his story he became what he is inside the Juall-Fish that ate him.... and that there was blue light inside that allowed him access to the knowledge of how his crew left him for death (or at least that's how I understood his lore and story), so if he became an Undead inside the sea monster and away from the Shadow Isles then HOW did it happen?

What if.... Pyke wasn't Truely Undead? What if his soul has parted his body leaving behind a hollow body with echoing fading memories.... and said body is being used as a vessel by Tahm Kench?

It's stated that the Juall-Fish Pyke's crew encountered was the biggest one ever seen, it's one thing for a species to have some giants among them, but having one big enough to single out, even bigger than the other big ones Bilgewater has most likely seen, that shows some signs of being supernatural

Remember that Kench along with Evelynn, Nocturn and the demon Swain is controlling are demons, demons stated to have the ability to manifest in any form they want.... what if that Juall-Fish was actually Kench, imbuing Pyke's dead body with his demon magic to animate him and hold onto his fading memories to make it seem he was brought back to life for vengeance, and why His memories seem lacking... cause they aren't whole.....

In Kench's lore/story we know he drove a honest man into lying over and over with temptations of rivers that will lead him to pleasure, but on the last trip it led him to the middle of the Sea, so we know Kench can travel into the sea and not just in rivers

Even looking at Pyke's abilities in the AudioBook style lore video Riot released, Pyke turned into mist and moves around in that form almost freely from any physical limitations.... a power that seems vaguely similar to Kench's Ultimate where he travels through dark waters to anywhere he wants

And to add onto this theory let's look at Swain's hint to Pyke's origins

He talks about something worse than the Mist of the Shadow Isles hiding below the water

He also talks about things far to back for swain to know about

He somehow knows about ASol's having siblings and He must of known about Avarosa on a personal scale to know that Ashe lied about the grave as he is implying and Avarosa is from way back in the days of the Watchers

So this leads me to believe that Swain knows what he knows through the demon he controls, which would explain why he'd Know about the dark secrets bellow the water assuming that greater threat is Tahm Kench, who is another demon who Swain's demon most likely knows, and Pyke his Vessel, or Aspect one could say, making it easier for him to spread misery in two places at once

What do you guys think?

... But why? Why would Tahm do that? He is not the type of "person" that would kill someone or let others do his job, he feeds from the misery of humans... is humans die, there is less "food" for him.

I don’t know if murder is the specific type of suffering that Tahm enjoys.

Tahm appears to be more fond of self-made suffering. The despair that results from the immense high of having it all, to the intense low of realising that you have lost everything. A state that he usually inflicts on people by inspiring greed.

Pyke’s crew overestimated themselves with the Jaull-fish, but even that’s not the type of greed that Tahm inspires. Tahm’s methods are slower, developing over time.

Well, each of the demons feed off of mortal suffering, but each of them likes bringing that suffering about differently. Evelynn enjoys bringing about pain through the desires and lusts of mortals, mostly human males. Tahm Kench brings about suffering through Greed and Gluttony of mortals. Nocturne, from what I know, and from For Demacia, appears to cause fear in humans, and then through that fear, Wrath. So, all we need now are demons who feed off of Pride(possibly the Demon of the Ravens), a demon feeding off of Sloth, and a demon who causes Envy among mortals.
