On the map of Runeterra it is said a type of hextech rifle made for Piltover Wardens (btw what are they exactly the military/police force?) that was too dangerous and was made illegal. So how powerfull are them exactly and Piltover guns in general. The reason I'm asking is that Noxus wants to invade Piltover and I want to know what they are up against.

We cant really tell how strong the average hextech gun is, but I think we can assume that hextech is potentially extremely powerful.

Just look what this stuff is doing for the champions in the game. We have Viktor with his Death Ray, if you build something like that in a large scale then it could probably vaporize an entire army.

Jayce and his Mercury Hammer, which is a versatile and powerful weapon as well.

Then Ekko, who built a device which is able to manipulate time.

Vi, who gets her physical strength immensely increased by her hextech gauntlets that she is able to break walls like they were made out of paper.

And less obvious stuff, like just really highly advanced weaponry like Caitlyn's rifle. Until proven otherwise, I consider Caitlyn as one of the best (if not the best) sharpshooters in Runeterra (hi 4 Step Cadence, yeah, I think she is actually better than Jhin when it comes to sniping in lore).

Such weaponry is a really strong advantage in a mostly medieval setting like Runeterra. A sharpshooter is highly valuable, a good one might even be able to kill a really powerful mage before he even notices what's going on.

Hextech is essentially magitech. It is technology that can be used to cast spells of some form, ranging from heat rays to increasing one's physical strength to time manipulation.

Obviously it's going to vary from weapon to weapon to an extent, but in general I'm gonna say extremely powerful. Wielding a hextech weapon essentially makes the wielder a battlemage with a very narrow skillset. Having an entire army of people who can use spells is really, REALLY strong
