I'm probably the only one, but...

I'm really appreciating the skin bios that have been added. I actually took the time to go through all of the skins in the game, looking for bios, and some of them (especially the RPG skins) were a hoot. Like, Dark Candy Fiddlesticks drawing his power from holiday anxiety. That's amusing. Or Candy King Ivern has a "gnawing hunger for candy flesh that can never be satisfied". Just the wording of that is funny. I also like the idea of these self-contained pseudo-worlds, like the Winterlands ruled by the Poro King or the story of PROJECT, which is fleshed out through these bios.

These bios are completely unnecessary, but I appreciate the effort.

Hi friends! Skins writer here.

Glad you guys are enjoying the descriptions. Generally they go one of two ways -- there's an ingrained story already built for the world (Blood Moon, Battlecast, etc) or there's nothing there and I build the universe as I go/write jokes (Sugar Rush, Road Warriors, the winter Olympics skins).

The most intricate of these universe was, in fact, Snowdown. To a degree I was not expecting. You had your Santas, your Santa subfactions, the Winterlands ruled by the Poro King, the elves (split into Santa-aligned, neutral, evil, trying to become a Santa), the Snow Day world (which isn't related to either but Poro Rider Sejuani might have been from there originally as a child?), and a bunch of miscellaneous holiday villains. At one point we had a white board here with the word ELVES in all capital letters and red lines pointing to all their allegiances. It was awesome.

Skin lore is crazy.

Oh I could go on and on about how much I love these skin bios. I look forward to them every patch!

They turned most of the Acrade heroes into real world gamers rather than game characters for one thing.

And yeah some of them are pretty good at earning laughs! I love them so much!

I like all the world building around League's IP like most but skin lore was never something I could get behind and so far the sentence of trivia-like flavour text does nothing to get me personally interested. Exception being for the actual skin lore made for PROJECT: & SG.

I recall many people asking for skin lore in the past and assumed some of those demands were for extended lore like the ones mentioned earlier. But no, most of the demands were for these minor introductory blurbs. Which skins have been getting for years prior to now, so idk why there was suddenly hot demand and then appraisal for getting something we already had.

I just read all the ones for Rift Quest and I am absolutely losing it at the idea of all these people playing tabletop games together. Especially Karthus. This undead guy shows up to Braum's tabletop game, rolls up the most transparently evil character (except maybe Veigar) and eventually backstabs the entire party for a cool book in true murderhobo style.

Literally the entire party: Dude what the heck? Karthus: I said my alignment was Neutral Evil.

Made even better by the fact that regular Karthus genuinely thinks he's helping people. And the bit where he interprets for Bard is just wonderful.

Can someone please drop a link to where I can read these skin bios?
