New Malphite bio: The Monolith and Ne'Zuk

So as some of you may know, Malphite just got a bio update finally and it's a 10/10 (link for the ones that just found out https://universe.leagueoflegends.com/en_GB/story/champion/malphite/ ) But I am not gonna talk about him rn. What I will talk about is the Monolith. You may have thought you saw every possible magical thing from Shurima, from firebeam-shooting golems, flying chariots and magical orb artilery, to the Sun Disc and the Ascended, yet Shurima once again finds a way to surprise us with its magical power (and overall op-ness). So the Monolith was created by Ne'Zuk, an Ascended coming from Ixtal, in order to end the Void threat. It was a flying fortress, a magical warmachine the size of a big city that required hundreds of the best elementalists Shurima had to offer in order to be powered, and Ascended to man its ramparts. Its magical firepower was insanely immense, stated to have been able to raze entire civilizations and destroy whole continents. Yet even with that beast of a warmachine, he failed. Horok became the one to actually manage to find a way to defeat the Void, by hitting it at its hearth, as said in Kassadin's color story. Yet, keep in mind that without Ne'Zuk and his monolith, Horok may have never been able to reach it. The battle betwen the Monolith and the Void lasted for weeks and it rampaged the whole Icathia, all its firepower aimed at the Void Rift, who responded in return. When finally the Monolith's defenses and regeneratives abilities reached their breaking point, its fall is what opened the way for future assaults to reach the actual hearth of the problem.

As Ne’Zuk fought to rally his Ascended brethren for one last, desperate charge, the unthinkable happened. Sagging for an instant, the Monolith crashed down to earth, cleaving through the bedrock of Icathia and opening the Void beneath to the skies.

So, if not for Ne'Zuk, Horok may have never been able to lead the Ascended and their vast armies into battle sucessfully. Where am I going with this? We know from Kassadin's color story that Ne'Zuk is the one that killed Horok. And now I think we can figure out the reason as to why he did that. In Malphite's bio, it's stated that he was of unrivaled arrogance. Witnessing his biggest triumph fail right before his eyes would be a huge hit to his ego, even more so when Horok then got all the credit for leading the Ascended to victory, even if without him, they would have never reached that point. Now, amplify that with thousands of years of build up of that frustration, and with the fact that all the rest of the Ascended from Ixtal died in the battle betwen the Monolith and the Void, as well as the fall of Shurima and yeah. Ne'Zuk could have snapped and kill Horok soon after the fall. I don't think Horok turned into a Darkin, I think he actually kept himself in check much like Nasus, but Ne'Zuk on the other hand... Yet I don't think Ne'Zuk is dead. When discovered by Ezreal, his tomb was found...empty. So, what happened? I think that after killing Horok he faked his own death (it would certainly be possible for an Ascended mage of collosal power as he was stated to be), then maybe...just maybe...fled back to Ixtal. So, what are your thoughts about this? Do you think Ne'Zuk survived? Would you like to see more of him in the future? And what do you think about the Monolith, Shurima's Death Star?

Yeah Ne'Zuk surviving seemed a bit odd in this story, I expected him to die here(which could have explained why his tomb was empty if no body was left behind), so I could definitely see Ne'zuk as being still alive.

The question would be where he went if thats the case. We still don't know much about Ixtal, so its possible that an ascended is part of its army just chilling there or he might have gone into hiding for whatever reason. I doubt that he'd turn into a darkin since he likely didn't have much contact with the other ascended after faking his death.
