This lore retcon is so confusing (Fiora and Lux)

Fiora and Lux being treated differenty is very confusing considering they're both from noble houses. Fiora was forced to get married at an early age and become a house-wife against her will, but Lux was forced to participate in the military against her will (which turned out for the better but that's besides the point). Why wasn't Fiora forced to join the military? Why was Lux not allowed to marry a suitor and not have to do military service?

Different noble houses might have different viewpoints, different priorities, different traditions, etc. The crownguard might be a bit more influental than the laurent house,so they might not be in need of marrying their children to other families.

its also possible that they simply see military services as more important than increasing their family influence,so they force their children into the military service instead.

Ill throw my money on the fact that Fiora was raised to be a trophy wife but lux was raised to be an army child. Also as mentioned The Crownguard are mainly a militant family while the Laurents are a more aristocratic family that practice fending for art rather than gritty combat.

Maybe the fact that her brother is one of the highest ranked soldiers played a part too ? Garen
