The Void: Lore Unsatisfying

I find that the whole 'void' lore to be a bit lacking. To me personally, the lore appears to be attempting to create a 'mysterious' and 'mystical' shroud around all things related to the void and Icathia, but It comes off as lazily written and just simply lacking context and information. Is there a portal in Icathia? Or is it just a place where void-born are 'manifested', as said by Kog'Maw's Lore? This would also be fairly inconsistent with Kassadin's lore, from which it is said that Kassadin let the void 'inside him', suggesting it is a presence or mind. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the lore of how they adapted (adapting?) to the new world they discovered. I just happen to find the information on the void and void-born's history and origin a bit lacking. Velkoz Malzahar Khazix KogMaw Chogath Kassadin item 3135

I wouldn't call it "lazily written". But I do feel that it can be more fleshed out. Which they are most likely going to be (already are) doing
