What's with Qiyana's posture?

Don't get me wrong. The more feminine approach, as opposed to the charred and bloody one, for a conquering queen? It's novel these days, and I appreciate the thought. But something about her stance in her art doesn't say "world-conquering empress" to me. It... It says Beyonce.

And I know, "So world-conquering empress, then." But what I'm saying is, her posture comes across more like a pop star to me than it does a monarch. Royal confidence, even royal arrogance, lends itself to a far different posture than Millennial arrogance. Millennial arrogance can look good - just ask Cassie Cage - but it has to be consistent with the character's background, you know?

Well her arrogance is also childish (thinking she can take over the world when fucking Shurima with Azir are on the same continent as her tho to her defense she doesn't realise that yet)

She is a young girl who thinks of herself as a world conquering empress. Big difference. She isn't an adult queen actually ruling over someone. She is just a brat bragging with her talent in elemental control.

She is basically the child playing "I am going to rule the world MUAHAHAHA". It makes sense that she doesn't actually look like an empress you are supposed to take serious.

So, what you are saying is that Riot have achieved their goal with her character? Am I correct?

It's like Yamada said. Qiyanna isn't an actual empress or conquering Queen. She's just a bratty, spoiled, arrogant & young princess who thinks she's the Top dog & everyone else is beneath her. She's a wannabe Queen.

Qiyana is kind of like the Tau in 40k By which I mean she hasn't quite realized she controls territory about the size of a dime in the swimming pool that is Valoran, and is trying to pick a fight with the rest of it.
