Is Dr.Mundo going to appear in the arcane TV series?

The new show has got me and all my friends very excited. The show takes place currently in pilt/Zaun and it will feature and as the main characters. other characters are . The guy with the top hat and white beard shown in the video is him, as seen with the scared face and hextech eye , and perhaps ?

All of my friends love the lore from league of legends and would hate it if Mundo doesn't make an appearance.

Riot said that they are making arcane because a lot of people have grown attached to their champions. This statement has got me optimistic.

If doesn't appear in arcane even though it takes place in Pilt/Zaun then none of my friends are going to bother to even continue watching the show. He deserves a cameo appearance at least. They don't even play Mundo, but they love the champion and the lore of league of legends in general and they all will be both upset and disappointed not to see him on the big screen when the show takes place in Pilt/Zaun.

What do you all think? Should Mundo make a cameo appearance at the very least?

I don't think he will appear (or even should).

His current lore has no ties we know of with Jinx and Vi, unlike Warwick for example.

Showing him in that show when he is an urgent candidate for a VGU and will most likely change heavily in appearance would be bad for the show. The series would always have the stigma to showcasing outdated lore in that case. For a short animation, I can see this, but for a huge project like this show, better not.

Use his current in-game model to represent him and just have him dab one in the background of a serious scene

Based on timeframe it's unlikely we'll see Blitz (he's like 2), Viktor, Jayce, Zac, folks like that. Sadly Mundo included.

I do wonder if we'll get cameos from Heimer, Ziggs (ageless) or Orianna (as human).

And I expect, Camille, Caitlyn and Ekko in some form as cameos or more.

Just because the show is based in piltover/zaun, doesn't mean every champion from those regions should appear in the show. There's a ton of other champions from those regions that arent going to make an appearance, why does Mundo deserve a spot more than the others? As someone else said, Mundos lore doesnt even make sense or have ties with that of vi and jinx. If your friends actually just straight up stop watching the show simply because: specifically Mundo, doesn't appear, would be extremely silly and near bratty behavior. Their loss i guess.

Mundo is one of the last comical characters of league left from the early days when the game was light hearted and fun.

I hope they don't portray him as some emo kid with 10 pages of tragic backstory as well... Just let Mundo be mundo man...

I'm really having trouble mustering up the will to even CONSIDER watching 'Arcane'. The premise, when originally announced, didn't feel like it had any compelling reason for ME to watch. If it was a series of loosely-tied one-shots that could possibly spill over into one another as more episodes released (kind of like the original, 2D Clone Wars cartoon) then I'd be 100% sold on the idea. As it stands, very little sounds appealing to me.

That all said, I do wish y'all the best and that it's a success. I just wish it had something for people like me who don't want an absolute concentrated story arc.

This is beside the question, but the guy with the scar and fancy eye is likely not Singed, but some chem baron. I mainly say this, cause what he says seems very out of character for Singed, who only cares about science.

Well Fiora/Quinn/xin didn’t appear in riots huge demacia chapter, so it’s not like riot try’s to include all champs from a region.

Now that we are talking about Mundo, I don't like his new lore.

It was more interesting when he was something like Bruce Banner permanently stuck in Hulk body.
