Background background story of "Everquest Tryndamere"

Lord Mark Merrill sama had a character in a game called "Everquest".

That character's name was the basis for "Tryndamere".

My question is; What kind of character was the original Tryndamere? I'm going to guess Barbarian Warrior but... I would like to know for sure, google showed no in-depth explanation... if possible, would like to know what server he played on.
