2018 has been a good year for league lore as more and more extensive lore is released en masse and I'm beyond excited that we'll be getting more upcoming lore in a few days time. A ryze short video(origin maybe?), a full map of KNOWN Runeterra (FINALLY https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8O0qFcbYLEo/Wz_JSttN89I/AAAAAAABC1Q/P1aayEGvzgYOjh04bDx0TajigECNUIkkgCLcBGAs/s1600/3552.jpg ) and maybe even a whole load of content for the regions of Mount Targon, Shurima , the Shadow isles and Freljord( if the new summoner icons are any indication). After this I imagine that all the main regions and powers in Runeterra will have been thoroughly established and will be further extended at later and convenient times. Hopefully riot will do what they did with the darkin and vastaya by continuing to create more factions outside the current regions as well as make more regions to keep the story interesting. Which I suspect won't be a problem cause there are many races and regions mentioned or hinted at that need more elaboration: kumungu demons bandle city spirits celestials yordles angels the oceans

Kumungu: About to be partially retconned/renamed for sure

Demons: Hoping we see this in the future, but for now it's just Evelynn, TK, and presumably Nocturne

Bandle City and yordles: Major update to come, whenever we get another champion or rework from Bandle City. We already got a couple big pieces of info about yordles (lifespan, illusions, location of Bandle City). That's just the setup.

Spirits: Hoping we see more about this, but for now it's just Janna and maybe a few others

Celestials/angels: We're gonna get some info with the Kayle/Morgana update

Oceans: Pyke release Bilgewater lore update pretty much did this one for us

I'm actually pretty sure that the angels are gonna be turned into ascended(with Morgana possibly being a darkin),with Aatrox saying that Kayle is not worthy of ascension and Morganas flesh being bound to runeterra,especially since it was mentioned that the forms of the ascended is deeply rooted in the culture of the one who undergoes the ritual(so shurimans turn into animal people,because their culture has a lot of animal symbolism,people from different nations would look vastly different).

Anyway I wonder how much lore we'll get for this update. It might focus on a lot of neutral champs or maybe focus on many different regions. I could see it go eitherway.

I really want to know what are the kumungu jungles we kow NOTHING about it.. Atleast we know some tiny tiny parts about the yordles but for kumunguu nothing..I want riot to take their time and think trough about the Yordles I really don't want to see a war about "yordles ruined" "worst lore" "I want to old lore" . Since Yordles are a big part of the League fan base in general not just to lore fans soo they better think what they are doing. (I will love whatever they make)

Kumungu: Rito talked about changing the name of the region, but the name "kumungu" might still be present, only relative to a more specific location (e.g. a river)

Demons: for now it's stated that they were pretty much all created during the mage wars, though it's not clear when said wars happened - before or after the whole darkin affair. At least, Eve's lore makes the mage wars canon, one of the few things kept from the old lore.

Bandle city: hopefully next year we'll get some update to it. By now it's the only place we now nothing about. Tabula rasa.

Spirits: this gets weird, as it should comprehend Janna, Kindred, and Bard, at least. Should also include Shen, as he's the one tasked with keeping the balance between the real world and the spirit world. Don't know when we'll get some update, but it'll probably take some time.

Celestials: If you mean targon, then we already have a good amount of lore. Not sure we'll ever get very detailed lore about them though, since they feel like far off gods that are hard to understand and have very limited contact with Runeterra. I don't expect them to be revealed that much.

Angels: new Aatrox seems to hint at Kayle and Morgana being ascended. If so, we just have to wait until they both get reworked, and I'm not sure they'll be touched next year. 2020 I'd say.

The oceans: this is possibly one of the most interesting places of which we know almost nothing about yet. I really hope that there's an atlantis-like city at the bottom of the ocean.

I wouldn't be so enthusiastic by this year's amount of lore just yet. As last year had released pretty much the same amount of LU's by this time as well.

Good year? Kindred are from 2015 and their lore sounds like something straight out of a story from medieval times about some mythical creature.
