Why does it feel like all Jinx skins are the same?

I agree. Only Star Guardian feels distinct and others really give the same feeling.

Maybe they should go for more mythical themes now, like soulstealer, infernal... I don't know. Just less human please. She is literally just changing costumes and hair with every skin. She is cosplaying rather than being in alternative universes.

I'm exhaused of Jinx in general. Skins, emotes, cinematics, music; she's popular, I get it, but can we please showcase something else?

It's subjective, but I'd rather watch Volibear talk to Zilean for three hours than get more Lux/Jinx/Darius/Teemo content.

This is VERY true. I've played hundreds of hours of Jinx and even her Star Guardian skins feels almost exactly the same. Same model, same animations for the most part as well, same feeling to her. They'd have to do something on a bigger scale to really make her feeling different, because so far it just feels like "here's jinx being crazy in the same way in 6 different outfits!"

I know this "crazy explosive girl" is jinx's theme, but skins that represent alternative universes often show a slight distinction in personality of the character as well. Jinx skins always feel very close to how she is. only star guardian was different...slightly!

That distinction is what makes League of legends skins so appealing in general. most often, they are not just different outfits for characters. have you seen that Pentakill Sona devilish smile?!

True! Its honestly so disappointng... I dont play Jinx but her skins feel similar and its such a waste... She gets lots of skind and theres so many other champions who sit there for YEARS waiting for a skin that sometimes turns out shitt so youre left there with more years of waiting for a good skin...

Jinx herself is too strong of a character, if the theme of a skin is too "weak" she simply over-rides it with herself. So the skin is suddenly not "a different Jinx" but rather a "Jinx in a different outfit", which is they key difference that leads to such a perception as the one from OP. Also the fact that she is horrifically one-dimensional with close to no character-depth is not exactly helping - I personally think her story has quite some potential, given that she potentially is linked to the collective subconscious of Zaun, utilizing the same variant of energy Janna, pretty much a literal god, uses. But ingame we don't see that, all most players ever see is a slightly more bloodthirsty Harley Quinn variant, and that is so dominant that you can barely work around it with skins.

Because they all follow the general scheme, AHHHH I"M CRAZY AND ECCENTRIC! Most skins feel like a new champion or something different. Her skins look like different outfits, it's disappointing. I got Dark Star Thresh from boxes recently and it feels like I'm playing a completely different champion. The design is awesome and exhilarating to use, jinx skins feel like chromas in comparison to any decent skin.

Mafia is pretty different. Ambitious Elf is kind of similar to Mafia, but not really. I do agree that Firecracker and Slayer are both very close to her original skin, and to each other. Star Guardian is...in the middle.

Because Jinx is just a champion that feels obnoxious as fuck, like Kled except the cool replaced with cringe the same no matter how you look at her.

Most of her skins aren't a different side of Jinx, or a different look. It's just Jinx wearing a Chinese New Year costume, or a school girl outfit, or a mafia costume, or whatever. There's nothing new and exciting in her skins. It's just a lot of "Jinx, but wearing different clothes".

I'm just happy we're getting skins at all... that last patch left me scarred and broken.

Because aside from Star Guardian, it's like having her change costumes. Jinx herself never changes in these "fantasies".

She's a human champion, skins are just an alternate costume for them really. If it were her as a demon or something like that there could be more to it.

If we ignore the tiers of the skins then that can be said about a lot of champs. If the skin isn't legendary, then it has the same voices and animations as the base for that champion. Every jinx skin will have a maniacal girl with a gun. Every riven anf fiora skin will feel like that character with another outfit. There are of course some more exceptional skins out there, especially in modern times.

A lot of jinx skins are on the older side so feels the same. Her newer skins feels a bit more different

Cuz jinx is a 1 dimensional crazy arsenist gimmick and theres only so many ways you can re tell that through skins

Because Jinx is has a phenominally defined and iconic personality, and the skins team is really good at picking skins that reflect that personality. A champion getting a skin that doesn't feel like their original character being stuck with their original voice over is more of an issue. I will admit that Riot could have pushed the boundaries more with her Legendary skin, though.

Well her theme is around explosions and mayhem, and there are really only so many ways to work with that.

I like Speedweebs explanation of it. How else would you make a skin, that doesn't have new VO, that doesn't get completely overblown by this girl laughing over how she loves blowing stuff up.

its because other champions get new and diverse Voice lines with their newer skins, while SG jinx is the only one who gets a full list of dialog and has unique interactions. i hope this new jinx skin gets unique voice lines :/
