Kayle and Demacia

I'd like to share some thoughts I've had about how Kayle will fit into Runeterra once her lore is updated, specifically her relationship to Demacia. First of all, with no Insitute of War, Kayle's origin is a mystery, but that's not what I want to discuss in this post. Going forward, I am assuming that Kayle and Morgana are not from Runeterra, that they are the only two their kind on Runeterra, and that they are stranded on Runeterra. I'm also leaving Morgana out of this discussion, because I think Kayle and Morg should have their own stories independent of each other, in addition to their ongoing rivalry.

Whatever happens to her lore, Kayle's theme is that of righteousness and justice, unfettered by morality or mercy. For this reason, it made sense in the old lore for Kayle to be a Demacian-allied champion. But this allegiance doesn't work very well in the new lore. Magic is an anathema to Demacians in the new lore. Kayle has wings and a fiery sword, so there is zero chance of Demacia wanting her on their side. Maybe J4 himself would be more open to an allegiance, but most Demacians would drive her back with petricite arrows. However, aside from the magic stuff, the values and ideals of Demacia very much match Kayle's utopian visions. Even if she was unwelcome there, she would be keenly interested in Demacia, and try to find out more about this nation of wingless people.

How do you think she would react when she discovered the Annulment Slums? This is where banished Demacians end up because they were suspected to be magic, but for all we know some of them might just be left-handed or have heterochromia. In a society defined by justice and unity, innocent people are being punished and ostracized for circumstances they can't control. I think Kayle will side with these people, and view the rest of Demacia as corrupted and dangerous. She will be a source of hope to the people in the slums, and be the figurehead of a revolution against Demacian high command. If Demacians will willingly change their ways and do what Kayle thinks is right, then no blood will be spilled, but those who refuse to bend will be victims of her righteous fury. To Garen, Fiora, J4, Vayne, and Demacia as a whole, Kayle would be an antagonist that needs to be defeated. But to Lux, Sona, maybe Shyvana, Kayle would be a possible ally, as she is fighting for a world where they need not hide their abilities.

TLDR. Kayle will be a Messiah figure to the Demacians banished for their magic abilities, and will lead a revolution to purge Demacia of its corruption.

Dislike it, also dislike you wanting to separate the two sisters from thier links. Dislike you trying to remove her flaws.

Kayle is supposed to be a tyrant, I don't like the idea of her, being a "justice leader" or whatever, Riot wanted to make a tyrant from Demacia, and I think she fits the theme.

Morgana would fit perfectly into Noxus or the Shadow Isles as a Occult arts Mistress, her sister and her have to keep their status of the only immortal winged being from another "dimension", I'd hate the idea of changing their species to fit into Runeterra.

The only faction I want Kayle to be a part of is the Helmet Bros.

Sadly Papa Rito seems to be physically harmed at the mere thought of giving Kayle cool helms in skins.

As i can see, they will come from another faction and not some faction we know already. Plus if we talk about angels, the possible thiing that i know is that they will migrate in Mt. targon.

I've actually been leaning on this pair to end up as part of the Mount Targon Faction, as in remnants of those that imprisoned Aurelion Sol. They are not "Aspects" like Leona, Diana or Pantheon, but true Targonians with Morgana being in self imposed exile while Kayle is in charge of bringing that unruly sister back home for "Justice".
